    I had a similar situation except after a brief period of sputtering (almost like I leaned way too far or forgot to switch tanks) I saw a drop in fuel flow. So, I enrichened, which got it running smoothly again. Then started seeing high EGT’s and CHT’s on multiple cylinders when trying to go back...

    I bought my Bo (v-tail H35) a little over a year ago. No IR and 75 total hours at the time. I now have my IR and 230 hours and would do it exactly the same again. Insurance wasn’t that bad and came way down this year. Fly a Bo and 182, you will get it

    Decision on Avidyne Equipment?

    My bonanza had a ifd540 and axp340 when I bought it. I don’t think I could go back to Garmin now. The avidyne is very user friendly. I prefer foreflight over the IFD100 app, although I haven’t used the ifd100 app much to give it a fair chance.

    How many hours did it take for your high performance?

    1.1 here. Bonanza with I0-520 I had just purchased. I had a little arrow (not HP) time prior. Under 100hr pilot at time. HP isn’t a big deal. Just more rudder. If still required, use that time towards IR cert while still logging required time.
