Wow, was the shop an authorized Garmin dealer? I know of at least two other cases locally and Garmin swapped the servo's at "no cost" within days of notification. I did have to pay for the labor on the reinstall, but I know others didn't even have to pay that. I would contact Garmin customer...

Garmin has already replaced the servos, just need to get them installed ... Wow, Well done Garmin! That was super fast!

Can you point me to this service bulletin, I just had a failure on one of mine and see that all 3 of my GSA28s are in the middle of the affected serial numbers. Hope I will get an easy replacement.

Just went through a similar exercise in upgrading, in our case the 182 won. If the choices are between 177 & 182, you can’t make a bad choice (provided you do an adequate pre-purchase inspection) and you can afford the additional service, operating costs, insurance etc. Good luck

I know all about that from personal experience, that’s why I have the 182 also. My wife was suppose to be using the 150 for her PPL but she slowed down after solo’ing 4 months ago. I told her I’m going to sell if she isn’t using it.
