Just installed 175 in my 180. Already had VOR/ILS capabilities...Several of the airports close to my family are RNAV only approaches, so this new capability is a game changer for me. Had approx 8K in equipment and install. Had to move transponder to old ADF slot, added Garmin 106B CDI for GPS...

Anyone had any dealings with this shop?

I was supposed to be in on July 15th...got pushed...now cant get a response from the shop...customer service is a lost art.

Live ATC, sounded like he was having autopilot issues, then made a call about heavy turbulence, then going down...sad

Worked great when removed for recent upgrade. $250 or obo.

Supply and demand! ADS-b is consuming all the capacity at the moment and Avionics shops can charge a premium.

Removed old switch, required pliers and 1/4 in drill bit. Installed new switch on base of yoke, little bit of solder and some heat shrink tubing and done.

There are definitely threads on upper portion, but no nut that I can see...

Sticks sometimes, not a lot of button travel, and almost flush to yoke...suggestions on how to get it out?

I am thinking of going with the Tail Beacon, but wiring it to the rotating beacon power...dont want to run with nav lights on all the time.

thanks all. Hoping to find someone close that can supervise me doing the maintenance and sign off. I think I have a cylinder that may need replaced (getting some blowby) and want to be part of the labor in swapping it out.
