    Piper Fuel Selector

Can somebody help me out with the fuel selector on my PA28? The spring for the stop lever has came undone and there is no good visuals out that show how to put it back together. It wasn't like this when I pulled the cover off so I don't know how to put it back together. Any help would be...

    Piper Cherokee 180D autopilot Help

Hey guys, I was wondering if somebody could put me in the right direction of a service manual or wiring diagram for the Autoflite wing-leveler installed in my 180D. I removed the panes to paint and I forgot how the 3 wires that connect to the wing leveler go back on the switch. Ive tried every...

    PA-28-180D Dash Panel Removal

Thanks Chris, I ended up doing the same thing as you. There really was no reason to disconnect the yokes for what little work there was to be done. How did you panels turn put? Im thinking of different color schemes to do. Seems like everybody just does all black but I don't wanna do that and...

    Best iPad for Foreflight, etc.

The internal gps that comes with the cellular iPads works just fine. The only thing you won’t get is the AHRS and the traffic alerts that I’m able to get with the stratus 2S. The accuracy of the internal gps isn’t as accurate but it does the job for VFR flight.

    Best iPad for Foreflight, etc.

I have the 10.5 with Cellular. If you buy from apple/amazon, you don't have to activate cellular. The cellular just has an internal gps that the wifi only version does not. So unless you have an external GPS you plan to link to the iPad, go for the cellular version.I also have the Apple Pencil...

    PA-28-180D Dash Panel Removal

Hey Guys, Today I got a little stir crazy and decided to do a few things to my PA28-180. One of them included pulling the plastic instrument overlay panels and deciding to give them a nice coat of paint. the factory red from '69 was a little overwhelming. I ran into a few problems though. I...

    PA-28-180D panel overlay upgrade

It’s a lot of algebra and geometry. Like you, I don’t fully grasp it but my dad does so I’m gonna design the panel and he’ll teach me how to take the measurements. From what he’s done already , it’s not difficult it’s just so dang hot in the cabin in this Texas heat we can only do a little at a...

    PA-28-180D panel overlay upgrade

I intend on sharing plan w a fellow IR student to build time for Commercial Ticket. I have heard to just take tach time multiplied by 1.3 to get Hobbs which we might do. Depends what the boss says.

    PA-28-180D panel overlay upgrade

The AP in the picture is just a visual representation Of what is in the panel already. I do like the idea of a Nice AP/GPS but the ol pocket book does not. This is just a time builder that we’ll occassionslly share with fellow student pilots to build time in, so spending a boat load of money on...

    PA-28-180D panel overlay upgrade

I am thinking about re-doing the panel overlay on my 180D Cherokee. My Dad and his brother have a CO2 laser that can cut and laser etch the panel as well as a power coating oven that I will use powder coat the finished product. I am thinking of moving the tach and the hobbs meter to be more...

    PA28-180D Hobbs Meter Not Working

So do I "start" the meter from the time I step into my plane, turn the master/engine on, or become airborne? Dumb Question but I wanna make sure I do it correctly.

    PA28-180D Hobbs Meter Not Working

I generally give myself tach + .3 for logging purposes. I was only ever taught to log with hobbs so that's what I know how to do.

Hey guys Im kinda new to the GA world and I'm looking for a little advice/help to save some pennies. We recently just purchased a 1969 PA-28-180D Cherokee. It runs great but, like anything this old, it has it's problems. One of the first things I noticed is the hobbs meter not working...
