Flying for European Airline with FAA commercial??

I worked with a guy about 10 years ago that went and got a job with one of the airlines in Russia flying A320s with a wet Multi cert. His family was originally from Russia though, so I think he was able to use that to his advantage.

    Smartwatch Pulse/Oximeter Question

I went to the chamber that the FAA has in OKC back around 2008. It was the same as mentioned above, where half the day is classroom and then after lunch is the simulator. A few minutes in, we were all struggling to breathe with the masks on and then instructor apologized that he forgot to turn...

USAF charter jet carrying women's b'ball team damages OK airport runway after unauthorized landing

I had some classes with some B2 pilots back when I was in college. If I'm not mistaken, they did a fair amount of training in T38's to keep time off the B2's. They also very much have B2 simulators. They let me fly in one on a visit to Whiteman.

El Monte, CA (KEMT) to Kansas City, MO (KMKC)

Q39 is some of the best bbq in KC. Jack Stack at Union Station has some of the best sides, and isn't too far from the airport if you are only there for a short time. Oh you meant flying advice? Yeah the typical pay attention to DA is probably the most important thing.

This. I generally prefer to stick with known problems than unknown problems. You know your current airplane's quirks but will have to learn all the quirks of the new plane if you switch. Since you are 50/50 on your decision, I assume you will be happy either way assuming you don't encounter a...

Ever have a nightmare about flying?

Back when I was working on my CFI, I had a really vivid nightmare. I had made it to a regional airline flying an ERJ. As we were rotating on rollout the plane suddenly rolled over. I remember vividly seeing the sky rollover into the ground and then right at impact everything went black and I...

    Are you a safe pilot?

True in that instance, not necessarily representative of the flying most members on this board partake in. Of course in the commercial world it costs money to carry the extra weight, so absentmindedly throwing fuel on is still not going to work. Plan for what you need (including reserves) and go...

    Are you a safe pilot?

*Crashes into the tree at the end of the runway from degraded performance with the extra weight* In all seriousness, plan accordingly with your fuel. Just blindly filling the tanks is a good way to get yourself into trouble just the same as not having enough fuel.

Capital gains on personal aircraft sale

Is the use of loopholes not living honestly under the government structure where you live? I'm not talking about doing things illegally and hoping to get away with it. Those aren't loopholes. There are many loopholes that can be legally exploited. As long as the government continues to find new...

I feel the same way. If something unexpected were to happen, having your feet up on the dash like that could leave you in a position where you are unable to respond appropriately.
