When did the 337 Form first start being used?

I just looked at the CD I got from the FAA on a 1946 Luscombe, in 1947 there is a Form ACA 337 (2-46), and the line on top with the large writing states: Major Repair and Major Alteration, so like Tom D. stated it was with the CAA and the FAA kept going with it, no idea what the ACA means, I...

Yes and in Oregon, they got rid of the Blind curve ahead sign, so it would be despairing to blind people. I never thought a blind person would mind, be they didn't ask me.

"Please don't group numbers, we can't do that" - heard from the tower

I've always wondered about the way numbers are spoken, why does 3 have to be tree, what can 3 be mistaken for, or having to say niner, what else could be mistaken for 9?, just wondering

Propeller Nick on freshly overhauled prop

I just saw on Katheryn's report were a Cessna 185 in Alaska thew a blade on take-off, the pilot got the engine shut down, but not before a mount mount broke, that was a close call, another matter of seconds and it could/would have been a 3 person fatality, interesting, it broke 1/3 of the way...

That reminds me of a time years ago, i went to pick up a friends J-5A, that had no electrical system, I took a handheld with me and called ground and told them, negative electrical system, the controller said "That's fine, taxi....", and as i started to taxi a ComAir airliner called ground, and...

When a P-lead breaks on your magneto...

I think what Tom-D is getting at and the question: is Mag A the left or right mag, just because it says left, the P-leads could have been unknowingly swapped at some point.

We had some inclement weather," says the pilot Luis Andrade. "We got some instructions. I followed the instructions. We encountered a mountain and didn't have enough time to climb to go above the mountain and we unfortunately crashed." Seems factual, I wonder what his instructions were? Go fly...

    Pa28 spar as a renter?

We got a PA-28R-180 in for an annual inspection, a few days ago. I was picked to inspect the engine and firewall forward, a couple other guys were on the airframe. When I got to the motor mount, it was broken in two just below the upper right mount and then checked the other side and it was...

FAA shut down my 3M aircraft graphic film.

That's what I always thought, the person is an Authorized Inspector, he/she holds an Inspection Authorization. It takes the holding of both the A and P license, loose either and the IA goes away at the same time, so it is redundant to say A&P and IA, IA says it all.
