Sickness note commercial pilot by GP or AME?

Hi guys, thanks for the replies - well obviousy "there is a longer story involved" (over a very short amount of time), I shortened it to the relevant part, and my surprise when the AME did not want to provide the "unfit note" or sick note. The Union was/ is not very helpful, which is another eye...

Sickness note commercial pilot by GP or AME?

Hi, literally asking for a friend (that's why I didn't bother to log out and do it anonymously): If your employer, an airline, asks you for a sickness note, can your AME refuse to provide one and refer you to your GP "because he knows you better"? It's between examinations, obviously, so it...

Searching for Safety Pilot in Central/Southern TX (Time build to 1500hrs)

Hi, since you addressed the question to me, she is out of annual right now and I work as a freelancer to kick off a flight school. After my rtw trip, that is ;-). So right now the logistics and time would most likely prevent me from flying with you. BUT, a friend shall assist with the annual in...

Searching for Safety Pilot in Central/Southern TX (Time build to 1500hrs)

It's IFR certified and a pretty smooth bird. I'm building time to 1500 and putting 100-140 hours a month on it and I'm looking for someone to pay for gas (pro-rata split costs). We would switch off going under the hood on each leg in order to both log PIC time. I've been pulling the power back...

    The best path?

Unless their modus operandi has changed in recent years, it makes a whole lot of sense: Quick private, quick Multi, hour-build at night in crews of two with LHS under the hood, flying across FL, landing, switching crews, back. Their planes get much more flying time, you might be more employable...

Indeed was a great trip, thanks again, Kai :-). Sorry, I do not log on here this often plus we were obviously travelling. Please come to Southern FL come September for some shared travelling! Commercial tickets there are quite cheap if reserved early on!

Tie down Southern FL for three weeks, suggestions?

Hi, there was an old thread that I could not vitalize, any suggestions for an affordable tiedown in Southern Florida? Leaving Miami International on Sunday night, back in three weeks, and I don't enjoy one way car rentals.... Owners, please comment :-)

Searching for fellow safety pilot for air camping/ hour building

Hi, yes medical is obviously needed, I assumed my responders would be aware of that. As for the sharing, agreed, I would (and do, to friends) dry lease the a/c for 40 bucks (which is very competitive from what I see around the market for a Cherokee 140 with a G430), thus this is compliant any...

Sounds quite feasible, love the state and have friends there. Please quantify "a few hours" - 2? 12? 22? 122?

Searching for fellow safety pilot for air camping/ hour building

Hi fellow pilots, well I hope this is compliant with forum policy and interest for a first post - I intend to log more time on my own aircraft for subsequent use on an EASA rating (called the FI-IR, the equivalent of a CFII in fact). I currently have the CMEL/ IR and a Cherokee 140, G430...
