New England area places to fly?

The cafe at Rutland is closed. LWM has Dominic's diner, won't blow your socks off but it is decent food, located in the terminal building to the right of the tower, parking on the ramp right in front. Closes each day at 2pm

What is the best way to study for the Instrument Written Test?

Currently what I'm doing, several friends who are recent IR/CPL through CFII pilots and the consensus is study for and pass the test then dive into the material. I'm doing sheppard and its slow tedious progress, also got the sportys course as I like the way they explain things visually in their...

Is that "teardrop to 01" something you created? Or is that an option somewhere, only ask because I've never seen that before.

    Alton bay ice runway

They were saying it was a banner year, close to 200+ aircraft movements, and just that one mishap. I wasn't gonna bring my plane up, but am close enough to drive. Never made it...bummer. Next best thing will be taking the family boat down to Alton Bay for some ice cream in a few months!

    Sealing hangar doors

That's pretty much what I'm going for, it rained out pretty good the other day, and aside from a little bit by the front edge, it was bone dry. So for me the goal is keeping the leaves and dust out. I'll take a look at that, may be the trick for the vertical edge, thanks.

Good call, somehow I missed that jacor link during my googling. Send them a message to try and get some samples, not priced to high and looks like it might be just the thing. Thanks!

    Sealing hangar doors

Just got into a nice T Hangar. Its great except for that there is about a 2-3” gap under the two horizontal sliding doors and along the vertical edges, I’m not looking to seal it up water tight but is there any reasonably priced solutions to add some sort of trim or weather sealing around these...

Beverly MA, 17 YO student pilot lands after wheel fell off.

What a great story! I had just pulled into my tie-down and was getting the aircraft wrapped up for the day, we just had a small airshow at the field and a DC-3 and Waco were giving rides, so I watched the DC-3 take off, then was watching the Waco sitting on the Bravo taxiway waiting for it to...

    John McCain has died

Literally walked into him once many years ago while on a tour of the Capital, momen I still remember. One may not have agreed with his politics but cant argue the fact that he was a true American and sacrificed much for our country during his service in Vietnam
