Strangest thing you've ever seen in the boonies

One of the Flying Cowboys (Cory Robin) did a YouTube video of flying and landing there.

The raptors next experiment will be to fill all of the areas outside of the cockpit with pressurized helium ... trying to add more useful load ...

That’s not the latest, it’s two videos ago. The latest is covered wheel wells and “tell tales”.

Type 2 Diabetes Diagnosis, while holding Class 3

I **believe** the answers above are related to continued flying under your 3rd class or getting a new 3rd, 2nd, 1st class. You can immediately switch to BasicMed if you have the Doctors visit/signoff and the appropriate AOPA course (every 2 years) as long as you remain under the BasicMed...

1 year later I get a letter from the FAA

Which effect? His original application reported everything. The pilot has met his obligations under 68.11. What effect if his medical expires before FAA takes derogatory action? Right now the FAA has just asked for more information and not suspended or revoked his medical, which he is complying...

1 year later I get a letter from the FAA

In the original post, the poster stated he had an aviation lawyer. He also stated that they received at least one extension and had been through at least one official submittal cycle with more information requested, so yes, I was asking if the OP's Class 3 was a 2 year or 4 year medical since it...

    Commercial operation question

As a Scuba diver myself, I usually go on dive trips with a dive shop out of Vegas. The last one I did (January 2019) was 7 days in Cozumel with Lodging, two dives a day for 5 days, and food/beverage (including alcohol for drinkers) at the hotel for $800 per person/double occupancy plus flight...

1 year later I get a letter from the FAA

Question: When was your medical issued (don't post the actual date here)? and when does it expire (i.e., good for 2 years or good for 4 years)? How much time between when it was issued and when it expires remains? Does the FAA revoke expired certificates if the medical itself expires before the...

1 year later I get a letter from the FAA

I do not know the answer to my question about whether you can switch to BasicMed, but according to the BasicMed info graph on AOPA and FAA websites, you can be a CFI on BasicMed, you are just limited to planes and flight restrictions for BasicMed.

Saratoga or Mooney or CirrusSR22 or Cessna400

It’s actually sold as Experimental Exhibition not E-AB. They sell you complete planes.

I’m not sure the fans he used on the test stand were actually installed in the plane.

    Raptor Aircraft

He had already scrapped the push rods for mostly cables awhile ago, way before the window broke. The window broke after he had the "wild ride" video. Then he decided to put in larger pulley's, etc after the window broke. He dumped the push rods before closing up the wings while he still had help...

    Raptor Aircraft

It was pressurized, but he had a window break in the hanger overnight, so once that happened he decided not to change it out and then cut some more holes for his changes to the aileron cables.

My past, starting as a student

Thats a very big "If". If I were in his shoes, I would go BasicMed and never look back. Following the above advice guarantees you will be out a lot of money, have a very long wait before you are able to solo, and risk being able to fly under the other two routes (BasicMed or Sport Pilot. IMO...

My past, starting as a student

And is a Student Sport Pilot certificate the same as a Student Private Pilot Certificate? Since there is no FAA medical for Sport Pilot, what serves as the Student Certificate? My quote said you do not need a Private Pilot Student Certificate to transition from a Sports Pilot License to a...

My past, starting as a student

Also, looking at the FAA primer, you are allowed to use BasicMed for your student pilots license if you are otherwise qualified for BasicMed and ensure the aircraft and operations during training where you are PIC are compliant with BasicMed limitations. Here is a screenshot.

My past, starting as a student

I am not familiar enough to know the full answer, but it looks like if you get a sport pilot certificate first, you do not need a student pilot certificate to transition to a pilots license under basic med, you just need the dual instruction and to perform your solo time in a LSA. just make...
