    Special Issuance Expired

Ok cool. This does not have a "not valid for...after" date. The authorization expires in 2022.

    Special Issuance Expired

I'm not sure if what I have is in fact a SI...The language in the letter calls it a medical certificate--which expires on March 31, 2017. The authorization letter requires I MUST comply with this and not change that, and submit this. So based on the language, this is only authorizing my HIMS AME...

    Special Issuance Expired

So I just got my SI last month and believe it or not the damn thing expires this Friday. I called my HIMS doctor in LA and scheduled an appointment with his office. My paperwork says he CAN issue me a special medical if nothing changes with my case. Please please please someone tell me that it...

I would ask Dr. Chien. He would be the best to answer these questions. Do you get disability from the military because of the TBI? If not, it may show them ur brain is functioning above average. If so, it might be hard to build a case.

How much time passed between the neuro test and the denial letter? Find out from the neuro-psychologist what score you got and see if you met that requirement. The test might indicate certain things that make them hesitant. Call him and speak to him to see if he recommended you or not. Ask...

    FAA diagnosed substance abuse

It reallly does say a lot about ur character to cowardly make comments that don't pertain to the OP. Get a life, a hobby or some common sense and stay out of conversations you know nothing about. Respectively...

    FAA diagnosed substance abuse

Wow. So is it safe to say that you think AA blames God for their problems? Because that's what a scapegoat is. If so, you are way way way off. Let me educate you. Because most alcoholics spend much of their life feeling different, they go in survival mode and build an unclimbable wall of...

    Please help with FAA medical

Thank you for your service. I'm a veteran as well. My alcohol and drug rehab stated I had PTSD--among other issues--and I got through the whole process. It took 1.5 years and $8,000 from start to finish. I was very patient...did what they said, trusted the process and I was issued my SI last...

    FAA diagnosed substance abuse

The program is NOT a "go to AA and I'm gonna be able to drink like a normal person program." The program works if you work it. It only works if you're honest, willing and open to a new way of life. I was in AA for a year before I decided to fly. The difference: most pilots are ordered to go...
