    AFA vs. FIA written

That's interesting. I bought Sheppard Air for the FIA and planned on taking the AFA test but the FIA might be worth considering. Thanks!

    AFA vs. FIA written

I agree. Thats why I was wondering if all the questions come from the FIA. There might not be a real way of knowing but just going to study for the FIA and see what happens.

    AFA vs. FIA written

I'm going to take the AFA written test in the near future in my journey to add on an airplane CFI (I'm a helicopter CFII but I never use it). Do all the questions come from the FIA test but just a shorter version? Thanks!

    FBO Waiver

I had a good laugh. I never said it was Signature...good guess!

    FBO Waiver

Would anyone sign a hold harmless waiver before they received fuel at a FBO you visit regularly? I was told that this was a new policy and before they come near your aircraft you have to sign a document that says you release them of any and all liability for any reason including their...

    Structural Icing without visible moisture

Thank you! I was using the CIP and that was my question...the CIP should know where the bases(by the observations) are and still the CIP will show icing potential below the clouds. The CIP may need some more work...

    Structural Icing without visible moisture

I do agree. And this question goes out to all; then why show icing on the Supplementary Icing Information page when clearly there is not visible moisture? My guess is.. 1. That maybe if a cloud was lingering in the area you would pick up ice. 2. Its Supplementary information and not to taken...

    Structural Icing without visible moisture

I have been using the Supplementary Icing Information on ADDS and found something to question my weather knowlege. There are times with clear skies or at altitudes well below the clouds and no other visible moisture reported were are significant percentage of probable (over 50%) icing. Usually...

S3 lost my previous Google appointments

I have a US Cellular S3 and it did a major update last night. I noticed an upgrade to my Google calendar that I have synced to my Google account. Well my appointments in Oct. and Nov. are gone, but they are still on my Google calender when I log on with my laptop. I use my work schedule in (the...

    AOPA Renewal??

I was simply making the off handed remark that the moment User Fees are mentioned in the legislature , money rolls in to AOPA.... maybe not, but they sure cry wolf when it happens.

    AOPA Renewal??

I plan on renewing for awhile. The cost isn't much compared to other aviation endeavors, (or anything else for that matter). We are pretty good at eating our own...on that, I wonder how much AOPA pays for a congressperson to enter a bill for User Fees. Never mind I digress...

Sorry to let you down Ron, but Apple might be suing them also.

Just bought a S3...now Apple won?

Enjoying it will not be a problem. Having a smart phone saved my bacon more than on once. I am honestly not a teckie but I like using the technology to make my job easier (I sure like 99% of everyone else).

Just bought a S3...now Apple won?

I honestly didn't know much about the lawsuit going on. Well I needed a new phone because I have to turn my work BB in while I'm switching jobs. I got a Samsung S3 and now there is talk that the Android market might not work as well as they do now. I'm honestly having buyers remorse because I...

    Camp Scholler PoA area 2012

My wife and I will be coming up on Sunday and leaving Wednesday afternoon. This will be our first camping trip to OSH. The years past we only spent one day so we are new to the whole Camp Scholler experience. We will have 4 person tent. So if you have a spot, we will take one.
