    Area 760 user defined waypoints

Ok,,,what am I missing? Is there no way to build a user waypoint and input it into a flight plan. For an example….I’m given, as a waypoint in my IFR flat plan, direct to the ADM 321 30 DME then direct. At that DME, there is no charted, named, waypoint. How do I put that in?

    LOP setting

I know this horse has probably been beat to death somewhere, but I'm going to ask anyway. IO550, GAMI injectors, 23 squared (or WOT and 2300), JPI 700 analyzer to monitor,,,,,,what do most like to use, on average, as a LOP setting, 20, 30, 50 degrees LOP...? Or do they all differ in order to...

    Garmin 430W updates

Does anybody know what's going on with the FlyGarmin updates for the 430W? It's been down a few days now. I've sent a query to Garmin with no response yet. Anybody else dealing with this same issue?

    Written Test passed,,,,getting close!

I went in this morning for the written, passed with 93%. I'll take that! First x-country tomorrow, the next on Sunday. Then it's just a little polishing up on some things, oral test prep and it'll be all done! Truly something that I never thought I would have. God is good!

    GNS 430W database update

Ok, if this is posted somewhere else, please direct me in the right direction because I haven't found it. But, here is the issue. I'm needing to update the database in my 430w and I'm a little lost on where to go to find out how this is done. Garmins website is confusing. I don't know if I...

    Hypoxia & SD Training

I had the opportunity today to attend a hypoxia and spatial disorientation training session at the FAA's Civil Aeronautical Medical Institute. The first half of the session consisted of classroom time reviewing the aeromedical factors on spatial disorientation. Mingled in to that, we each got...

    Complex training

I took my first flight working towards my complex endorsement. Just a few more things to put in to the checklists and GUMPS really starts getting important. The arrow is a really nice plane to fly. I don't think I'd trade my 182 for it though.

    My new to me 182P

Bought 1976 C182P with my brother and nephew. It's an awesome plane. I'm really excited to get better acquainted with it and build some hours.

    Break in the cloud cover

Finally, we got a break in the cloud cover and the ceilings lifted enough to get back in the air. Did some work on short field T/O and landings. Got out of the pattern for some turns around a point and S-turns. It was a good afternoon! Another 1.4 in the book!

    PPL Written test prep

For those that have done the online or video type "ground schools", how did you prep for the exam? I feel like there has to be a more structured way to study and prepare. Thoughts?
