    Really lost...now what.

I got turned around on a solo xc flight a few weeks after I got my private ticket. Once I wrestled the panic back into its box finding myself was pretty straight forward. It was daytime and I knew OKC was probably NE of my location which gave me a sector of the sectional to look at. Then I...

"So you have your PPL SEL? Why LSA? You don't qualify for a medical?" I've been diagnosed with stage 4 cancer everywhere but my bones and brains. That will pretty much kill your medical. I get around pretty good. Got a medical retirement from my job. The rest is from savings and...

    GA and concealed carry laws

I must be paranoid or a gun nut because I carry a 1911, a 4 inch pocket folding knife and often walk with a cane that has a solid brass knob for a handle. A pound and a half of brass knob makes a pretty fair mass weapon when it's mounted on a 3 foot piece of oak. Maybe that's why I've never felt...

    Concealed Carry

The whole point of concealed carry is that the weapon is concealed. If it flashes people you haven't got it concealed properly. I even been known to carry into places placarded against it. It's just a risk is rather take than to be caught without my weapon when a situation goes sideways. Even...

Wondering what's a good concealed carry rig ...

I've always carried my 1911 condition 1 and at the 2 O'clock position (appendix carry). I've still got all my bits. I always use the safety and take some comfort from the grip safety. Now if I carried a Glock, which I would never do because they are ugly as homemade sin, then I might switch...

    DO I need help?

Wow! I'm still in shock that the OP had the nerve to ask for advice on the board about how to perpetuate his illicit dalliance without getting caught. I guess it means he still cares about his wife a little that he doesn't want her to find out presumably because the knowledge would give her...

Yes, definitely time to get back into aviation. I need to get my license on a piece of plastic instead of the paper copy. I've still got the paper card in my briefcase. What is the Spin zone?

Fast and loud women are fun once in awhile, just don't let them know where you live. That's why I say the faster the better.

I can already tell this is going to be a fun group. I've got thick skin and a sharp tongue so as long as we all agree fair is fair and mom's are off limits I think we will get along just fine.

No GI bill. Never served. Wish I had but I did manage to stay out of desert storm and serving under Clinton. My retirement was self funded. I'm so tight I can squeeze poop out of a buffalo nickel. I think I might splurge and sign up for basic cable though. Running out of entertainment...

Those jet powered trucks certainly qualified as fast and loud. Holy smokes! Now that's what fun smells like.

FBH, retirement isn't everything it's cracked up to be. Lots of boredom until I find a way to make some extra money that I can actually enjoy. Working for other people just wasn't cutting it. Maybe I'll get into the used aircraft game. I'm not even close to wealthy, I'd say barely comfortable...

Thanks Colorado, I raced a GSXR1000. Never could afford anything Italian unless it was a Beretta or a leather jacket. I've long admired the Ducati. Now I'm old and broken down so a Diavel has more appeal to me than a 1098. Unit 74; I don't drink but I'd be proud to buy you a beer and...

Bryan is the masculine spelling of this ancient Celtic name. Brion is the feminine spelling. Nope, no Tinker burgers anymore. Canteen services are all ran through Aramark, the same company that owns all the canteen contacts for every federal prison in the US and I'd guess the food quality and...

Hi. My name is Bryan. I'm from Oklahoma. I earned my PPSEL in 2002 but haven't flown in probably 10 years. Kids and family stuff got in the way even though I was an aircraft mechanic I rarely flew because I was wrenching for uncle Sam on the B1 project at Tinker AFB here in Oklahoma. We...

Do You Fly Like You Drive?

I drive both like a professional. Professional race car driver or professional A&P pilot. Yeah the cars pull more Gs but eventually it's hard to find willing passengers when you like to pull 2 or 3 Gs on the downwind to base leg even if you are trying to shed speed.
