    Clarification on Frost

Looking for some help to get a more advanced understanding of frost and how it forms on airplanes. Is it possible for an airplane to develop frost in flight? How would that differ from just regular icing? I always see other pilots rushing to get airborne before frost can accumulate, why would...

    CFI endorsement ?

Student pilot walked in and had previously solo'd. His 90 day endorsement expired and needs a new one. Do I need to administer new knowledge test and all new endorsements or can I just add on an additional 90 day once I find him proficient in the airplane?

    Illegal charter vs Student instruction

The PPL can say they’re PIC all they want, they can even be sole manipulator but we all know who’s actually PIC.

    Illegal charter vs Student instruction

How about a Private pilot who wants to bring a CFI for additional safety, maybe he’s flying night, IMC, difficult airspace, or has family members on board. Would you think is CFI ok to log that as dual or does that need to be towards a rating/license?

    Illegal charter vs Student instruction

So what is to stop a company from accepting a bunch of public customers and then just claiming them as student pilots and then they fly their trip with a CFI under 91 and completley bypassing the 135 regs....?

    Battery life requirement for EFB?

I was doing a bit of research and could not find anywhere in the regs that states a requirement for EFB battery life. If your'e using electronic charts say on an ipad with foreflight, is there a minimum amount of battery life that is required or do you need a backup?

    Cirrus SR-20 lean assist

yes this is what I was asking. I was unsure if I should get all of the cylinders to peak or just the first one before enriching again. I don't believe the POH specified one way or another but I could have missed it.

    Cirrus SR-20 lean assist

So should I be waiting for all the cylinders EGTs to peak? Or should I enrichen the mixture after detecting the 1st peak? I believe the EGT turns to blue and negative after the first cylinder peaks. I was also told by a CFI that if I set the mixture lean of peak then I will burn a whole in the...

    Cirrus SR-20 lean assist

Wondering how to properly use the lean assist in a Cirrus SR-20 with IO-360-ES. It has the avidyne R-9 package. I do know that once you press start lean assist you can begin pulling the mixture and you can see the peaks of the cylinder's EGTs once they indicate blue. Now the cirrus POH says to...

    Student Endorsement

Yes I am aware that I should know it and I am working to learn it. After reading through Part 61 and AC 61-65H. With that being said, can anybody confirm my below findings? If I were sending a student solo for the first time ever(no previous endorsements)- he would need 1. pre-solo aeronautical...

    Student Endorsement

Got it, so I've been reading through AC 61-65H quite a bit. However, I still have a few reservations that I'd like to clear up. 1. Am I correct in saying that a student does not need a separate endorsement to go to the practice area and practice maneuvers solo?-They just need their 90 day 2. If...
