    Weird but useful lesson.

I agree. I keep my most recent old pair in my flight bag. My prescription changes so very little that I really can’t tell the difference between old and new. Plus I typically wear my prescription sunglasses when I fly and have my clear lens pair in my pocket. So I am covered pretty well if...

Is forming a partnership hard for everyone?

Here you go! https://charlotte.craigslist.org/avo/d/mooresville-considering-starting-new/7476045684.html This has been posted for almost a month. Mooresville is north of Charlotte so you’d probably want to move down here. If the guy already had a plane, I’d probably call him but it looks like...

What is your daily use car

Figured I’d just quote myself from 2015 on this thread as nothing has changed but the mileage. That’s on both the Jeep and me and the Jeep seems to have aged better.

opportunity to work in Miami for AA

https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/South_Florida Depends on who you ask. Wikipedia has an article on South Florida. There is no true legal definition. Here’s a map from the wiki article.

    Flat Landing Gear Tire

A known defective tire is a known airworthiness issue. So basically, you knowingly flew an unairworthy aircraft. That is how the FAA would look at it.

    Celebrity Pilots

Tom Cruise is his legal name as he changed it legally. It is not just a stage name. Looking for his birth name won’t get you there.

Lots of hours prior to instrument/commercial. Advice on how airlines will see this.

I assume they will assume you got the hours by flying. At least that’s my excuse.

Pulled Over For DUI Going To Work

I have an opinion on the matter but I have been informed that I do not show enough sensitivity or support to posters on the medical topics threads. Crazy, huh? Glad to see this poster getting good POA love.

    Stoopid Stuff

Ha. That is no big deal. I had to remove a flap fairing one time and place it on CDL with a full load of passengers onboard after it was damaged just before pushback. I’m sure those pax were thinking WTF?!

Put me in the cheap backpack camp. I can’t see spending extra money for an aviation specific ego booster.

opportunity to work in Miami for AA

Yep, lightweight! ;) I have lived for a year or more in 15 cities or towns in 9 states. I have also spent months on assignments in other states and countries. The states and number of cities I have lived in each is as follows. IN(4), IL(1), TN(2), NC(1), SC(1), GA(2), FL(1), CA(2), NV(1)...

opportunity to work in Miami for AA

If this is your only foot in the door to work for a major airline and that is your goal, I say go for it. Later, if Miami is not to your liking, you can look at other bases to transfer to. There seems to be people living there so there must be some good to the place.
