Fulton FTY vs Dekalb PDK Atlanta

For what it's worth, the area around PDK is nicer than the area around FTY.

    Cirrus pull, two uninjured.

I think this may be the best post I've ever seen on the subject. Nailed it.

    Boeing 737s Grounded

Boeing's Price to Earnings ratio is listed as 22 before market open today. Not exactly a bargain basement valuation, and still plenty of downside.

    Citation 560 down at FTY

It was bad. Low ceiling, low visibility, rain.

    PDK's Master Plan

I've never heard a good reason though why 21R/3L couldn't be lengthened other than cost. What's going on now shows a good reason why it would be helpful to have that runway longer than 3750'.

    Tuskegee Airmen National Historic Site

In Tuskegee, Alabama, there's a great museum and tribute to the Tuskegee Airmen, at Moton Field, 06A. This is the actual location of their training site, and you can fly into the field and walk about 100 yards to the museum. The airport has a 5000' runway and a very small FBO. Fuel is...

CAPS deployment caught on camera near FYV

What you have to understand here is how much pulling the chute is stressed as a primary emergency option during Cirrus flight training. I was very surprised at this transitioning from a glass cockpit Archer to an SR20. If there's a nice airport nearby, I'm probably going to give that a...
