    AOPA Fly-In: Missoula

Any local pilots have an idea of what one should expect along I-93 if winds aloft are 17-20 knots at 12,000. Turbulence for sure, but that sped of winds aloft is manageable in the sierras.

I recently switched to a new shop for my 182L annual. I was shocked in the number of items they found on a plane that had been very clean on eight previous annuals. The required repairs most concerning are the wing strut and wing root cuffs (plastic covers over strut wing/fuselage joints,)...

    Commercial Pilot Cirriculum

Any suggestions on written Commerical test preparation curriculum? I've started on the ASA Test Prep book, but it is primarily questions with little narrative. Seems like a companion narrative product would help, or is that simply the Far/AIM?

Auricle Engine Monitor - 3 CHTs out at Once

Right after annual. I had a different A&P check for loose wiring, but he indicated the connections are all good. Probably have to find an A&P familiar with this particular monitor. The manufacture's website is pretty poor as far as listing authorized service centers.

    Avidyne TAS 9900BX ADBS Upgrade

Has anyone done this, or can tell me why this is necessary? Since the system is an active traffic system that doesn't rely on ground stations, why would it not continue to work when all aircraft have the Extended Squitter transponders or ADBS-out? I will be upgrading my Garmin GTX 330 to get...
