    Question about Cirrus Pilots

It's a boutique plane for people with a lot of money who want to skip the whole "learn to fly" process. Essentially it's a "pay to win". Have a hard time reading steam gauges? Buy a Cirrus with a glass cockpit stream your favorite Netflix show while flying IMC. Why train to proficiency when...

What plane should I buy? - 12 engine edition

Motors are engines my friend :). A motor is a subset of engines that produce motion as the mechanical work. So all motors are engines but not all engines are motors

    Beech Sierra Experience?

Did not apply to the aircraft I flew, but I'm sure it applies to wherever you got that from.

    Beech Sierra Experience?

I also owned a Cherokee and I put close to 200 hours on it in a year, so yes I speak from experience too. And that quote came from the POH, which yes, is A book, but it's THE book for the aircraft. If you choose to ignore the POH, go right ahead. I also never said I couldn't land it...

    Beech Sierra Experience?

From the POH, and who doesn't ever shoot for short and/or slow landings? Normally the best technique for short and slow landings is to use full flap and enough power to maintain the desired airspeed and approach flight path. Mixture should be full rich, fuel on the fullest tank, carburetor heat...

    Possible treatment for Covid-19

Hey look a cheap way to possibly create a vaccine..can't wait until they mark the price up 10,000%.

Coronavirus hysteria is hurting every one.

My son was going to go back to school on 3/30, now not going back until 4/15, at the earliest. Will do classes remote they say for a couple weeks. Wonder how that's going to work out.

Coronavirus hysteria is hurting every one.

Went to get some groceries over lunch today, still no paper products but a car was on fire in the parking lot so..there was that.

Flight Schools in the Charlotte, NC Area

Yep..because there's no guarantee how long it will take you to complete training. Minimum amount of hours is 40, but some people take 100. I took 65 because I was just a perfectionist. Don't forget you need a headset, maybe a tablet, and other stuff..could easily run another 2-3K all in.

    COVID-19: The silver lining

Nope..evidence is that you can possibly get it again.

Not even remotely the same comparison, but ok.

I've had it with Type Certificated aircraft...

Never said new. I said certified aircraft with similar functionality. I bought my aircraft for less than 40k and it could do all of what that aircraft can. Who needs glass panels and piped leather seating when you are training? Or even for daily flights? There's a lot of extra stuff in there...

    141 vs 61

I think it's sorta funny and a little ironic how the OP placed emphasis on TAA and newer aircraft as a condition of deciding on 141 or 61 training. You do realize that if you go into regional's that you will be probably flying a plane older than the one you trained in, with older technology...

    COVID-19: The silver lining

US added almost 300 more cases today, so we're up over 1200 now. And that's the ones that have been CONFIRMED. Some news outlets are reporting that certain states might have well over 100,000 people by THEMSELVES that are infected and just don't know it. WHO can't possibly keep track of all...

    Corona Virus and Oshkosh?

I was reading on the WHO site and they aren't sure whether or not it's a persistent illness or not at this point. There has been at least one case where a lady had it, recovered and then got it again apparently. Though they don't know if she was "completely" recovered or if it just diminished...

I've had it with Type Certificated aircraft...

Nice aircraft, I was watching a few videos though and they go for $130-$220K in price. Half that gets you a certified aircraft with similar functionality.
