We're planing to fly Ruby out to Oregon (from Dallas) to visit the in-laws the second week of July. Granted when I bought her I flew her home from Virginia, so Ive been on a big trip with her, but my wife hasnt, and I havnt been over the big bumps yet. Any great advice? Any crappy advice...

i can’t seem to get my FF W&B set up. I’ve entered everything as listed in the POH. It’s in the green empty, but as soon as I load anything I get a “Overweight: Zero Fuel Weight (x lbs over)” and the x is whatever I’ve just added. Anybody seen this?

i just dropped off my first Angel Flight passenger. Just a quick hop from Denton to Hooks in Houston. Went off smooth. Even had to grab a quick IR clearance on the descent. Good fun and good practice. Almost as fun as flying dogs!

Anyone have a smart plug that you can control via smartphone app in your hangar to turn on heaters and such before you arrive? Heat up those avionics and the cabin before you get there?

Is the money savings in an owner assisted annual or maintenance in the fact that less hours are charged because two people are doing the work? If the A&P was solo, it would take longer. Or is there some other saving break given?
