I'm looking for one out of Clow as well to get my IFR. Too bad there is such a big shortage of instructors right now. It use to be really easy to get with an instructor over at the flight school there.

Bryan, do you use Perrier sparkling water as suggested in the Cirrus POH for the steam gauges? ...I've heard of some using distilled water instead.

I have a 3 year old and a 6 month old. The plane I use is a 1979 Piper Archer. The rear seats are lap belts without the shoulder belts. I don't think the smaller baby base will be a problem but has anyone else figured out a good way to secure the forward facing child seat? The wife is concerned...

I saw that automatic recording recently. I have yet to try it out. That would be great if it works like that because there have been a few times I've forgot turn it on. I rely on that data for my log book.

Thanks everyone. It's not a financial issue. It's more of what was previously mentioned as far as wanting to use it to fly the family and not doing so. If anyone has a good way to install baby seats in an Archer II or C172 I'd love to know how to do it in a safe manner.

I think this pretty much sums it up for me. I do enjoy it. It's not like I hate flying. There are a lot of other moving parts in my life that keep me busy. Maybe I should get a babysitter and fly the wifey out for a lunch date.
