Help me decide on a 182.

Thanks for all the responses I’m going to stay away from the non waas g1000. I’m interested in a turbo 182 . I found 2 , one has 1900 TT with 600 on reman. Lycoming asking 370k . The other is exact same plane TT 1200 , engine 1200 , asking 319k. Any opinions??

Help me decide on a 182.

Looking at two 182s. Similar airframe and total time . One has six pack , 2002 bendix , non waas. The other is a 2004 non waas G1000. Which is better and more economical to upgrade to waas. Both are priced about the same .

    I think I've got a dream ...

Sounds like a realistic plan. Always need pilots and engineers. Trump is only a risk if you come here illegally or attempt any activity which goes against the US constitution. Americans for the most part are very accepting of all people.

Fatality Crash KHOU looks like a Cirrus

Based on the winds isn't 12 the preferred runway? In this situation can you request a different runway than what ATC is giving you?

This is why I need IFR rating!

James, could you clarify your point. You state you would want pt 91 minimums to fly your family in IMC . Did you mean pt 135 minimums and if so how many pilots out there met these minimums before taking family into IMC?

This is why I need IFR rating!

So if I go by 135 standards I need to get 700 more hour to get TT up to were I need to be , assuming I average 70 hrs a year this means 10 years of flying till I can consider using my plane as a means of transportation

Sump fuel with Gats jar before leaving hanger. Put fuel back in after I stick for fuel quantity. Also sump after top off and discard.

    Daily Contact Lenses

Wearing lenses overnight is the worse thing you can do to your eyes. Most corneal ulcers I see are caused by overnight wear.

    Daily Contact Lenses

Get fit with lenses designed for the wearing schedule you are comfortable with. Overwear eventually causes problems. Treat people on a regular basis that abuse wearing schedule.

Cirrus pilot paid $15,000 for a parachute repack?

1500 a year for the added safety of BRS. Sounds like a good deal to me.
