    How to have an incident

Well bye bye everyone I will no longer be posting under this ID. I'm laughing my f*cking ass off! The great Henning turns out to be an incompent bumbling fool who gave up her certificate like a little girl because the nice inspector said so.

    How to have an incident

 Isn't this your second 709 ride now? You should've taken my advice and not waxed your plane and taken that time to either read your POH or get going to Oshkosh earlier. Best be getting back to Italy to wash some boats now.

    How to have an incident

Nope. That is not why. I just found it incredibly ironic that POA's super pilot geared up going to Oshkosh. Other than that I don't care about Henning. His recent actions (including impulsive way he handled this situation just giving up his certificate without even a whimper) pretty much...

    How to have an incident

Dude you don't get it, do you? I don't pretend to be a super human like you do. What does my height have to do with anything? So what if I were short? Nothing wrong with that. To you that kind of nonsense is important. Not to me.

    How to have an incident

Oh I've been the recipient of personal attacks from him years past under a different ID. No I'm not going to post the link for your amusement. To the point where big windbags like him and a few others around here made me not want to be on these forums and I was not for many years. I'm sure he...

    How to have an incident

It's not a personal attack against him. If someone else had done this he would be all over this thread giving his expert advice. Just like he did in this thread. http://www.pilotsofamerica.com/forum/showthread.php?t=3837

6'3" I'm surprised you didn't mention penis size. That usually comes next.

    Oh god. Henning humble? :rofl::rofl::rofl::rofl::rofl:

    How to have an incident

Never. And I tell you why. I am not a super pilot. I don't pretend to be. I'm a pretty average pilot and use my checklists and have a process because I don't want to rely on my instincts and "natural ability". Like I said the process which I always follow 100% including during my hectic arrival...

    How to have an incident

Yeah, I am. I am very outspoken. It's not a spade it's a f*cking shovel. Just calling it like it is.

    How to have an incident

 Based on what? His larger than life internet persona? Hubris, the term used by Jeff, is very appropriate here. There is absolutely no reason to ever have a gear up incident. First of all, flying in a plane with an inop gear horn and not even knowing his OWN plane has a gear...

    How to have an incident

Dude he is providing advice for others who may be interested. His advice is good. Agree Henning is a big boy and has the right to take whatever course of action he likes but Jeff's advice is good. Making a rash and rushed decision in the heat of the moment is NEVER a good idea.

    Oshkosh Accident today?

 This is exactly what I was talking about. Not counting accidents to and from OSH is stupid. The pressure of arriving in that area and dealing with the traffic greatly increases your opportunities to get into an accident. Especially if you are stale like Henning was. He probably hadn't...

    How to have an incident

Oh the irony! The POA's self proclaimed greatest pilot gears up going to Oshkosh after providing his expert opinion on every topic possible including how to fly into Oshkosh. Henning, sorry for your loss, no body deserves that to happen to them but take this as an opportunity to look inwards...

Can an owner do a compression check?

Easy, by renting only from places that I've checked out and feel good about their level of maintenance. If I had any suspicion that a plane I wanted to buy was maintained by someone not qualified I wouldn't want anything to do with it. Sorry if that offends many people here since I know many...

Can an owner do a compression check?

Just reading this thread makes me happy I don't have to own a plane or buy one. I will just keep renting. Sounds like the planes I could afford who knows what kind of monkey has been wrenching on it. I just shudder to think of buying a plane that has been "maintained" by some of the posters on...

    Oshkosh Accident today?

Flying to Oshkosh was definitely the most high risk flying I have done so far this year and I loved every second of it and will do it again next year. Who wants to live forever anyway?

    Are You Enjoying OSH?

Well I'm the one who complained about camping on the north side of 27. Like I said my complaint there was the incredibly slow bus service and lack of nearby showers. But besides that... I definitely enjoyed the whole experience. The flights in and out were both incredibly fun and well managed...

    Oshkosh Accident today?

No they wouldn't have been flying this distance necessarily. Don't tell me Oshkosh is more safe than the other kind of flying we do usually. I flew the approach and did the departure. There were an awful number of planes out there. Lots of planes in a confined area. And there was definitely...
