I saw that show as well. If I remember correctly (I could be wrong, usually am :redface: ), the organization rebuilds the aircraft then ships it over, sets up a base of operations with pilots and support, then transfers the responsibility over to the locals.

I've always been fascinated by airplanes for as long as I can remember. I grew up making models. My bedroom ceiling was covered with them. As I got better at building them the older ones were hung from trees and shot down by my BB gun. I never knew anyone who was a pilot. I still don't know...

I saw that article today. That is so gross! I had to send it to my wife. She's a microbiologist and gets a kick out of that stuff. Truly nasty, I'm glad she got some professional psych help ( the hairball girl, not my wife. Though I think she could use some herself :D ).

Since you didn't build the sneakers yourself are you authorized to make that kind of modification? This is a little more involved than just changing laces.
