    Headroom bonanza v Saratoga/Cherokee

I would probably own a bonanza if there was more headroom. They are terrible IMO. Toga is much better. Six is great as well with more room up front than any single piston I’m familiar with. They are slooooow tho.

    Ugh, CFI hospitalized

Ask the club for another CFI! What’s the big deal? I flew with several different instructors and learned something different every time. Changing instructors is a good thing. As long as your club has others available chalk it up to a learning experience and move on.

    Frontier Pilots Ready To Walk

I agree with Half Fast. If you know what you’re getting into then why post in the first place? Gotta be plenty of airline pilot forums you could drum up support on.

    [NA]Hiring assistant for elderly[NA]

A reputable agency will handle all the logistics, taxes, insurance, and assume all liability should anything happen. Most, if not all, LTC policies require a licensed agency, which will also handle all the paperwork and filing. I get asked all the time why someone shouldn’t just hire an...

    $1000.00 Pipe Clamp!!!!

I’ve bought two of those clamps (or very similar) in the last four years for my 206 w the Lycoming. Price is ridiculous and they don’t tend to last long. Not happy about the Cessna exhaust AD but apparently there’s a reason for it.

crash in Alaska - impressive wreckage location

You apparently don’t have a clue about how hunting operations work do? I’m also guessing you’re somewhat young. Suggest you look into the hunting side of the aviation business up there in AK. I’m not saying all outfits do it and I’m sure it’s getting more regulated but five years ago (my last...

crash in Alaska - impressive wreckage location

It’s not an uninformed opinion!! I’m sitting right seat in a single engine airplane that I’ve hired to fly me into hunting camp in Alaska and I ask the pilot, “ are you commercially rated or have an IR?” He says no. Why would I make it up? I have no axe to grind. This has happened on multiple...

crash in Alaska - impressive wreckage location

So that’s how they are getting around it? So as an Air Taxi they can transport paying passengers w/o commercial? That would explain it. I make no judgements for or against a pilot being required to be 135 rated. Matters to me none. What does matter is experience. I’ve flown into some hell...

crash in Alaska - impressive wreckage location

So my experience is wrong?! Wow I guess I need medical help. Why are you so defensive about it? I’ve cited my personal experience without, I hope, inflicting any negative connotations other than the facts as I saw them. Yet you attack my credibility. David you’re an ass. Best of luck up...

crash in Alaska - impressive wreckage location

What you’re not mentioning is all the off-grid operators flying for outfitters or lodges. I know several pilots up there that regularly fly for pay with passengers without instrument or commercial tickets. I’d wager a guess that none of the pilots that have flown me and my family into remote...

    T206H fuel issues when hot

If u have a good engine monitor I’d strongly suggest downloading the last few flights. There might be something there that would point u and your mechanic to the problem. BTW my airplane wouldn’t idle at 1000 rpm when hot w/out the boost. Worked fine at 1500 and at 800. Flew well too. Spoke...

    T206H fuel issues when hot

There is one on each side under the manifold. Cast AL shaped like a T w stainless limes running into each side. On the outflow (bottom) should be a check valve. If u have an engine monitor what does it say? Did u do a full power run up?
