FS: Garmin GDL39 3D with Battery

I am looking to sell my GDL39 3D with battery. I have had it for about a year, however I just upgraded to a plane with a glass panel and use the iPad for more trip planning than anything. I paid around $900 for it, it currently sells for $850. I am looking to get $650 shipped USPS priority mail...

    How LOW have you've flown?

28*F out with a pressure of 30.39 currently. I just hope the winds calm down a bit by time i get out of the office because its otherwise a beautiful day. I am sure its not the lowest I've flown in, last winter I went up in the low single digits, the plane really came alive that morning.

    FAA medical, urgent advice needed

I'd say for the time being I would go the sport pilot route with drivers license medical and wait and see what 3rd class medical reform plays out. You are probably looking at $5,000 to $10,000 to get your medical depending on what exactly is in your records. It is my understanding that the GAD...

Pilot Edge - anyone using? Thoughts?

Thanks, I will have to put some time on trying to get it how I like it when i get back from vacation. The non-linear response curves sounds like it will handle some of my frustration as well. I fly light sport, so I like to think I fly with a gentle touch already, but this thing felt like it...

Pilot Edge - anyone using? Thoughts?

I have been wanting to get into PE however I am just slowly getting into x-plane. Honestly I dont know if its my setup, but I have found it to be impossible to adjust to so far. Between the limited focus with the monitor and not finding a good way to map the controls to "look around" and the...

ADS-B In/Out with Grand Rapids Sport SX

I have a Sport SX with a Microair Avionics T2000SFL transponder. What do i need to get ADS-B? Can I just get the ADS600-EXP and call it a day? http://www.navworx.com/navworx_store/Experimental_Aircraft_Transceivers/ADS600_EXP.html Or would i need anything else upgraded or to get to...

    CPAP without prescription

This is what I do with mine. I find I have to adjust it in the fall and spring (I assume it has to do with the dryer air and the humidifier). In the winter I find i need to bump the pressure up to keep my AHI down where it is during the summer. I find knowing how to monitor the results in the...

To keep, swap or buy more fuel..

If you like the watch as a watch, it does have some handy features. As was previously stated the vibrating alerts are nice. I had one for a few weeks and ultimately sold it mostly because it was just too bulky of a watch for me honestly. Had it been more comfortable for me I probably would have...

PP flying a student pilot..any benefits?

When I was training a few times I was invited go up for an hour or 2 with other pilots who were going to drill holes in the sky. I couldnt log it but for the most part it was quite valuable. We would work on navigation exercises and general pilotage with me at the controls. There wasnt much I...

    PBOR2 passes Senate Committee

Are you held by any professional ethics rules that would otherwise prevent you from doing so?

    PBOR2 passes Senate Committee

Yes, but the pilot is dead the physician is the next person to point the finger at.

    PBOR2 passes Senate Committee

Technically yes, but that would defeat the point of the bill. Duh! Cant hold a dead guy responsible, and if there is a hold harmless where would the finger pointing end up?

    Pilots Bill of Rights

Now I am fairly sure I know what the answer is, but I wanted to clarify section e for someone who currently does not have a medical. I assume that your first medical is subject to the full special issuance process, then following that you are only subject to the defined SI categories here...
