    CPAP Stats

I'd suggest a reschedule of the AME visit until you get your numbers in order. You are setting yourself up for a denial and the additional time and cost of resubmitting.

Dizziness and Nausea, Viral Infection of Inner Ear

Feb xx, 2017 Ergent Care, Dr. My Doc, MD (reason) Flu. 18b. No ...... I've experienced dizziness, occasionally, on New Years Eve and never reported it on my exam. Ever spin around until you got dizzy? No report necessary for that either. Flu should be no different. Seems like a non-issue...

Any advice for a pilot who wants to kick the cigs?

Me, too. I became a chewing gum addict for many years. :D

Any advice for a pilot who wants to kick the cigs?

Good advice. Short achievable goals. I did hours, then days, weeks, months and years. I'm now working on decades.

Any advice for a pilot who wants to kick the cigs?

Life will always throw you a reason to start smoke again. No reason is acceptable. Hang in there. Sorry for the loss of your friend.

Any advice for a pilot who wants to kick the cigs?

The urge to smoke will stay with you for a while. It gets easier to ignore as time goes by. Then one day you realize you hadn't thought about it at all. Best thing I ever did for myself. Quitting was what got me into flying. Everyday I would put aside the money I saved on cigarettes that day...

Any advice for a pilot who wants to kick the cigs?

Start with a change in attitude. You said in your first post. I CAN'T. As long as you keep that perspective, you won't. Take it from an ex-smoker (40 yrs of cigarettes), you can if, and when, you REALLY want. It's not easy and no one can do it for you. Everyone is giving you good advise, but it...

    Hodgkins Lymphoma

Congratulations on achieving remission, Greg. I am in remission from Non Hodgkins Lymphoma. I received a SI that was removed after 7 years of being cancer free. During that time I was required to send reports yearly. Not a big deal, as I had to visit my oncologist yearly anyway. As mentioned...

Text of the Bill being sent to the President

What's to stop them from changing the rules and requiring a 'Special Certification' for this also?

    What a pleasure.

I agree. He has handled my medicals and SI reports for the last four years. I have never felt more comfortable dealing with the FAA. It used to be a frustrating yearly event.

Text of the Bill being sent to the President

Wow, math really is hard. I'm okay with the outcome. I get.a physical every year from my PCP anyway. Every 4th year I will just bring the form along. It also save me the money spent on the yearly SI reports and tests, not to mention the down time waiting for the FAA to send the OK>

I didn't see a requirement to carry the checklist or the logbook, only to be available on request. Your logbook not, currently, required to be carried while flying.

Failed DOT Pre-Employment Drug Test. Emergency Medical Revocation

You're right. I spent many years working the back of an ambulance and have no tolerance for the alcohol impaired. They were involved in most of the horrendous and disastrous incidents. Yes, you're still and "evil alcoholic danger". Its as much about decision making as it is functionality.

CPAP frustration - pulling my medical!

I didn't like wearing my CPAP when I first was diagnosed with OSA. After experiencing the benefits, I prefer using it. It's a game changer.
