    There is a 182 at Anacortes that has been in storage for 20 years. It was preserved and kept and renewed every 6 months. It is in as good condition as it was 20 years ago.

    You can do it all on line FFA.GOV snoop around you'll find the link. After you get the new "N" can change the numbers, don't forget the new airworthiness certificate.
