Are FSS still operational?

Why would you want someone else to build a kit airplane? Part of the fun of kit aircraft is the time you spend building it! My recommendation: Buy a certified aircraft if you aren't interested in building the kit.

I'm a hobbyist, so I only fly for fun. So if I can take my time getting to my destination, I just gas up my LSA and go. However, if I have to get there, it's the airliners for me.

Would I even be able to consult an AME on this issue without inadvertently causing myself to be kicked out of the left seat of a LSA?

Eh, Sport Pilot kinda killed the ultralights in this country, which is a shame.

So I've been without my ADD meds since High School (I'm 29 now) and I'm currently flying under sport pilot rules. Recently I've been contemplating taking ADD meds again because I'm tired of having a mind that has 500 browser tabs open and I'm trying to view all the tabs at once...

You can save money by scratch building from a set of plans, but not all of us are that mechanically inclined. I can do a kit (plan on doing a kit), but building an aircraft from scratch, not my forte.

Well that's true, it is good publicity for experimental aircrafts and general aviation.

Eh, the owner of the Viking Engine has a sketchy past, TBH I'd put in a ULPower engine before I put in a Viking Engine.

Makes me wish Aero-Vee would sell a 100hp engine, that'd give Rotax a run for their money! :D

So I'll be going out to the San Fran area with my girlfriend to visit her family, and one of the things we want to do is to rent an aircraft and fly around San Francisco, see the Golden Gate Bridge, Alcatraz, the coastline all from the seat of a LSA (I say LSA because I just love those sporty...

I am so glad my instructor at the time had me fly the Czech Sportcruiser with the unlocked canopy so that I wouldn't be freaked out by the sound of rushing air.

No restriction for me (aside from weather).
