Nor Cal area airplane owners...I want to rent your plane!

Yeah, it is hard finding a job outside of 500hrs, you'd just have to look I guess. Also go try to ride right seat on a angel flight or get on "meet up" and try to find some pilots going to burgers to ride shotgun with. As for costing "tons for money" for a plane sitting in the hangar, as a...

Nor Cal area airplane owners...I want to rent your plane!

Probably best to say what you want to pay dry. So basically depending on where you are, you want to pay $60ish dry to fly someones 172 for 200hours, not sure outside of a friend who would work that deal for you. You would be better off flying for a DZ or something,

Cleanup Time! Your favorite products/ways to give 'er a bath?

Just use your favorite automotive products, minus on the glass. For the glass, use lemon pledge Use a nice mellow meguires wash, zymol wax, I also use Lucas speed wax between full wax jobs. Hyde food on the leather, DONT use armor-all.

how would one find out how much full is needed to travel the world

If you're asking that question, DONT DO IT. If you cant already calculate fuel burn you shouldn't be flying a 50nm student solo x-country, let along trying to fly across the globe.

iPad for flight training and log books

Oh Ron..... where to start.... I fully expect highschool and college students to be able to preform the math that the calculator is doing if I request it and without hesitation. Well I am not a fan of making training EASY, I like them to learn the most BASIC level of doing a calculation...

    Tubo East of Rockies

Are you saying you can get reasonable power above 7k in a N/A aircraft?! If that's the case I would ground that aircraft until a A&P can go over it, guessing it has some major engine wear, maybe low compression or/or something else.

iPad for flight training and log books

If you wan a iPad get it, just leave it at home for flight training. I've had a couple guys ask about that and I tell them all to leave it at home until they earn their license. Also your CFI needs to sign your log and that electronic stuff is a pain in the butt for flight training...

    Too much technology

It's a quick fix, button pushing, law passing and more gadgets are a easier "solution" then teaching SOLID fundamental skills (pilotage / stick and rudder) and exercising common f@cking sense.

    Tubo East of Rockies

I've crossed the country a few times (north and south routes) and spent very little time above 9k, this was done in n/a pistons. Doubt I'd pay for the food and keep of a turbo engine. Just not in a HUGE hurry to get across and if I was I'd just boom a ticket on kayak. Also not a fan of...

lol, dude you missed one... how about the PIC, that's going to be the life or death factor.... time at the start of the journey, instrument? IMC time? icing experience? x-country time?? I could recommend a few planes that could do this, but what's your background as a pilot and proposed...
