Citing Valve Damage, UND Drops Unleaded Fuel And Returns To 100LL

If this is too far off topic, moderators can delete. Thanks. Im about as confused by all of this as possible. I have 0-320 D2A carb engine. I use the lean assist on my G3x mostly to try and keep the plugs clean with the bonus of saving a bit of fuel. I use 100ll all except one tank of I think...

    Want To Buy Engine dehumidifier

As for the REMOVE BEFORE FLIGHT flag, the 5' long hose connected to the pump on the cart acts as a good reminder! There is no way you can leave it connected since the pump is on the cart in front of the plane. I did not install a hole up on the breather tube. I cant remember why I didnt and...

    Breeze Airlines?

Thanks for the responses. I was less concerned with cost than convenience. Driving to DTW is a real pain - it is NASCAR on hwy 96. Maybe I will give them a try if I just want to get out of town and dont have a real schedule.

    Breeze Airlines?

I wasnt very clear. I wanted to know if anyone has flown with Breeze and their experience. Was there anything different than the major airlines? They offer first class seats so that is better than Spirit. My main concern is if a flight is canceled you could be stranded for a week unless they...

    Breeze Airlines?

I figure this is the place to ask about Breeze Airlines. They are going to fly between Lansing MI and 2 airports in Florida starting in Oct. Lansing is much more convenient than DTW or even GRR. They only have one flight each way a week so I can see hotel reservation issues if they cancel. I...

My 1st time going into class C at night, any advice?

My first night flight into a class C was KBOI (Boise). I took off from KEUL, about 15 miles to the west. I was with my instructor. I took off and called tower. Tower gave me a heading so I turned to what I thought they said. Tower asked if I heard them correctly and I said yes. Then tower gave...

    runup area. WWYD?

Taking time on a pre flight is a good thing. Especially for students. But the instructors should be teaching these student pilots proper etiquette. The same people are the idiots on the highway in the fast lane with a bunch of cars behind them. They dont know the first rule of driving - if the...

    Floatplane incident Miami

Holy smokes - they sure got rescued quickly. And as soon as they got it towed in, there was crane there. I know it was speeded up video but it was amazingly fast recovery. I made almost that same landing this morning in a nice cross wind except I was on a runway so all I did was bounce high...

Where can I get a custom Hat made?

I am not easy on hats and my Vans hat is used up. Vans has not sold them lately so I want to get a few made with my N number on them. I dont really want to support the big A and looking for a smaller shop that is known for doing airplane hats. Any ideas? Thanks

    Avionics Shop in MI

Check out Midwest Panels https://midwestpanels.com/ Lapeer MI, not far from Saginaw. I think they do certified but specialize in Sling panels. They have a nice youtube channel.

Choosing the plane for Winter mountain trips

Probably not much other than size but I dont know. Our pilot knew the airplane and airport well and was the one that said go or not. It was pretty freaky going into ASE even commercial. Thinking about it now, Im sure our pilot had more hours in the Citation than some of the airline pilots.

Choosing the plane for Winter mountain trips

Our company is based in Santa Barbara. We rebuilt the Snowmass Ski Area and the RLN in Aspen. We flew almost weekly for 5 years from SB to ASE in a Citation. Many if not most trips in the winter were delayed or moved up because of weather. Sometimes for days. Many times we flew commercial and...

Thinking about building a hangar home, where to start?

For the design you are showing that does sound high. The hangar is not really part of the house so that does make it less expensive to build. Having it partially below grade does up the cost for the foundation. In my opinion construction contractors are starting to get hungry. We do over $200m...

Thinking about building a hangar home, where to start?

Will the hangar be insulated, HVAC, drywall, painted? Those cost the same if hangar or house. Will it have plumbing and electrical? A free span opening of 40' requires some additional engineering and structural enhancements not in normal home construction. The door itself will add probably $10...
