    Wanted: Joy of Flight video

When I edited this, I actually called it "Joy of Flight"

    Length Between flight

I think that all really depends on many factors. Income, rent vs own, business vs recreation, etc. Personally I rent and fly recreationally once or twice a month when I'm home. If I had more disposable income though, I would fly a lot more, but then I'd probably have my own airplane, or maybe...

    Should I be Grounding Myself.

 I wouldn't say "nobody". There's always someone trying to stir the pot. Last year I grounded myself one day because I wasn't comfortable with the winds. Stayed home and editied together a flying music video instead. Posted it to these forums and got hammered for not flying. To the OP...

Where is this airplane grave yard?

Nope, AMARG. Aerospace Maintenance And Regeneration Center became Aerospace Maintenance And Regeneration Group in 2007

Where is this airplane grave yard?

It's actually AMARG with a "G" now. One of my favorite places to take people sightseeing.

    Military Pilot Question

Not a military pilot, but I am a military aircraft maintainer and deal with military pilots, so that should be close enough. They are sanitizing their uniforms. It's a standard SERE practice to deny the enemy any information that can be used against you. Hope that answers your question.

Inde Car track - southern AZ

I've flown past it a few times. It would be a fun event, but at $100 a person it becomes more of a $200 hamburger.

    Foreign Customs, Culture, and Courtesies?

In middle eastern countries if you hand something to someone (i.e. passport), you should always hand it to them with your right hand. The left hand is considered unhygienic. I always found this humorous, since my right hand is probably less hygienic than my left by their definitions, but...

    Tucson Fly-in KRYN 2nd Saturdays

Yes they most certainly are. I had forgotten about 2nd Saturdays as I hadn't been there on a 2nd Saturday in a while. Drove out there today for a nice saturday morning flight around Tucson and wow, what a collection of aircraft. You know your fly-in is getting good when you've got warbirds...

Good flight schools somewhere around LA?

Found it, starts on page 67. http://books.google.com/books?id=MCc3G3nrgIgC&pg=PA69&dq=%22hank+snee%22&hl=en&sa=X&ei=1ikrVJHcK8WAiwLaqYHoDQ&ved=0CB0Q6AEwAA#v=onepage&q=%22hank%20snee%22&f=false

What to do on a windy day.

Mike, I've worked aircraft maintenance in the military for the past 12 years. If "pilots eat their young", then maintainers do things to their young that would make Jeffrey Dahmer blush. Glad you liked the video.

What to do on a windy day.

Yes, I would have absolutley loved to do that on a breezy day, but the day I scrubbed my flight and made this video was a bit more than a breezy day. I know that calm seas make for poor sailors, but at the same time, knowingly sailing a small ship into 30 foot swells makes for soggy sailors.

What to do on a windy day.

Glad you all enjoyed it! 30kt crosswinds are a bit outside my personal minimums.

What to do on a windy day.

Yeah, I heard that song on XM the other day and thought it would go good with a flying video, just didn't think I'd be making one so soon. Dang wind.

What to do on a windy day.

Grounded myself due to winds this morning and was pretty bummed out about it. Instead of sulking, I made this little music video of some of my previous flights. Didn't help, only made me want to fly more. Oh well.

    Cessna 172 Checkout

I too had this same situation this past week. After about 100 hrs in the 150, I got checked out on the 172 a couple days ago. Went up solo this morning to do some pattern work and try to get the landings down. Kept floating it with almost every flare. Just needs practice I'm sure, but you're...

    Defend your ticket

I love telling my new guys that the aircrew can't leave until we get them the keys, then send them on a wild goose chase looking for them. The plane is usually already airborne by the time they figure it out. Good times.

    Who lives at an airport?

Holy smokes. Can... can you adopt me? :D Seriously though, that looks amazing. Love the models.
