FS: Bose A20 With Newer Bluetooth

I'm selling this headset that my wife used when we had the Mooney. Haven't been using it lately. I just sent this to Bose for warranty repair. The noise cancelling would sometimes cutout when you would move the cable. Bose replaced the entire cable assembly, put a new boom assembly on it as well...

FS: iPad Mini RAM Yoke & Suction Cup Mount

Since I don't fly GA much anymore, I have decided to sell my iPad Mini RAM mount. It comes with the yoke clamp and can be changed out to use the suction cup mount as well. It's the same as the one seen here, except mine has the suction cup mount...

Anyone with a Garmin MX20 ever get a white screen?

Sorry to hear that. Our Mooney had an MX20 in it and I loved it! It it really is dead, you should see about selling it for parts and upgrading to a GMX200. It's basically the same unit with some upgrades and a faster chip. Some of the Caravans I fly have the GMX200 and I like that unit even better.

Kitty picked a good time to bolt

Could it have been that those ladies were just trying to be nice and make conversation? My wife and I have 2 cats as well as a couple of cat ornaments/decorations. You know... who am I fooling. You're right. We hate cats and no one is allowed to even pet them. I guess I let the "cat out of the...

Kitty picked a good time to bolt

Witnesses stay neutral in all the worlds conflicts. Because of that, many thousands of JW's have been imprisoned all over the world for not joining their country's military. I don't believe this forum is the place to have a lengthy discussion on this subject, but I've posted a few reasons below...

"If I said 'VFR not recommended,' would you want to hear the rest of the brief?"

You're welcome! Yeah, most pilots I've talked to have never heard of it much less used it. Reminds me of when I used to work at Vanderbilt Medical Center. They had the same password requirements and it drove everybody crazy! Believe me though when I say that the website is worth the hassle...

Kitty picked a good time to bolt

Currently there are over 8 million active Witnesses. With a group that large, there are bound to be former members who for some reason or another have left or have become disgruntled. You will find that with any religious group. Believe me, we don't view anyone as heathens or inferior to us...

Kitty picked a good time to bolt

Funny to post a link to a website that is used by many disgruntled ex-JWs. That's absolutely absurd that Jehovah's Witnesses don't have cats or aren't allowed to have them. There are many Kingdoms Halls that have windows, especially in other parts of the world. The doors are never locked...

"If I said 'VFR not recommended,' would you want to hear the rest of the brief?"

Personally, I use the Lockheed Martin weather site. https://www.1800wxbrief.com/Website/ I think the format of the online brief is easy to follow and I like the high res graphics. Plus, it's an official briefing source.

"If I said 'VFR not recommended,' would you want to hear the rest of the brief?"

I sure don't get all the hate for Flight Service and the briefers. When I was a private pilot, I always checked the weather myself and then called to get a briefing from a professional just to make sure I wasn't missing something. I've always had nothing but very helpful calls. I've continued...

    Color blindness--could this change everything?

You're not allowed to use any of the glasses that correct color blindness on the exam. Believe me, I've researched this thoroughly. What would be nice is to have contact lenses that you could pop in. Take the test with those and nobody would ever know!

Mike's Flying Service for Multi Rating?

OK, thanks everyone for the response. That makes me feel much better. They use an Apache. It has a nice updated panel with a 430. Seems like a nice little outfit. Beats the hell out of paying $310 an hour for a Seneca plus instructor.

Mike's Flying Service for Multi Rating?

I'm about to get my multi add on and found Mike's flying service down in Terrell, TX. He seems to have reasonable rates and seems like a nice guy over the phone. My only concern is him telling me the examiner is in his 80's and is a retired FAA inspector. He said that the flight portion of the...

The Flightline TV Show On Bluray

Sorry Kent, but this sold. I thought I posted that it sold, but I guess not. This show as never very popular. I don't think it was a Canadian show, but I may be wrong. It was really good though!
