MidAir at Centennial Airport Cirrus and Metroliner

I knew a lot of ME was done in the DA42, but I didn't figure the DA62 was used for that. The DA62 always seemed large enough (and expensive enough) to be an individual's private plane, but not so much for rental or training. But who knows, maybe Diamond is making more inroads into that kind of...

MidAir at Centennial Airport Cirrus and Metroliner

That's interesting. The DA62 seems so specialized, I wouldn't have thought anybody would be renting those out. Really cool plane. If I ever had the $$$, I'd definitely check one out.

    White Castle

I feel bad for all the hate on Krystal! I grew up in Alabama and love those little burgers. Maybe it's an acquired taste, but every time I go back to the South, I have to stop at one and get a sack full of Krystal burgers and fries.

    Cirrus killer?

That is a seriously cool airplane! I've always loved Aerostars, and if I were to ever seriously consider a piston twin someday, they'd be near the top of the list.

    Hogan Assessment (???)

Oh, where? Is there an exhibit somewhere? I love going to old Hollywood and TV exhibits where they show props, costumes, etc.

Weather in Denver has made for interesting training

Winds, thunderstorms, convective activity, etc... I've been scrubbed more times than I can count over the past few months trying to finish up my training and get ready for a checkride. Earlier this year, I had six weekends in a row we couldn't go up due to weather and scheduling. It doesn't...

Is there a way to make these full scale?

That is so cool! Never did RC planes, but was involved with model rocketry as a kid and loved it. Haven't done it in years, though. Always thought it would be cool to find a high powered rocketry club and check it out. One of the latest bugs to bite me (aside from flying) is Battlebots...

    Is this picture upsetting?

Uh oh. This is reminiscent of a pancake vs waffle debate.

If I hadn't seen it on tv....

I dunno, I think this is pretty ingenious! I had a bad fly problem last summer with numerous flies getting into the house somehow, and it got so bad I even went out and bought an indoor zapper to try and kill them. But it took a long time to attract them, and made a horrible cracking noise...

Apps helping uninformed whiners complain to the FAA?

This reminded me of something I saw when I practiced real estate for a couple years. We would always stress to buyers to completely read all the title work they received prior to the objection deadline, especially HOA covenants, special assessments, etc. That way they could at least be aware...

    It smells new

Congrats, and love the color! I'm on my third Jeep and love them. I'll always own one. I had a 1993 Cherokee (XJ) with the inline 4.0 that went 150k miles before it threw a rod, and that was only because I was young and stupid and didn't do oil changes frequently enough, and didn't use...

I could easily see them doing that. The "Midpoint Continuation Fee" - everybody get their credit cards out!

Adsb Vs Eyeballs in spotting aircraft called out by ATC

Wow, I'm so glad to know it's not just me that has a hard time spotting other aircraft. As a student pilot, it's one of the things I struggle with. My instructor says it comes with time and practice. I hope he's right because I feel like an idiot always having to reply "looking for traffic"...

    Wine Country (California) tour

I went to Opus One a few years ago and the tasting fee there for their higher end wine is more than some whole bottles. And I have to justify buying a bottle of Opus One as "an investment" (yeah right LOL) so I don't feel as bad. I have one bottle I'm keeping for a special occasion. Probably...

    [N/A] HE Washer Rant

When I bought my house, the previous owners left the washer and dryer. The dryer is fine, but I hate the washer. It's a top loading HE unit, and it ALWAYS throws UE (uneven) errors with almost every load, no matter how small. I even ran it once without anything in it, and it still threw an...

The flight attendant comes over and notices this...

Be sure and tell the flight attendant you'll have anything but the fish. Just in case you're needed up in the cockpit.

    Star Trek: Picard

I was a little too young to experience the original Star Trek (although I liked some of the episodes). The Next Generation and Picard were "my" Star Trek and starship captain, and I loved that show. Of the entire cast, I felt that Data had one of the best character arcs of any TV character...

    The Seafood Thread

I'm not too sophisticated when it comes to seafood. Seafood to me is a trip to Long John Silver's for some fish and chips.
