Happened this morning while maneuvering for downwind. I'd been puttering around for an hour or so at normal power levels/speeds. It wasn't a severe power loss, maybe 100 RPM, but I wasn't sure what was happening until power increased when I added carb heat for landing. Be careful out there.

Well, what say you @eman1200, @FlySince9, and @Grum.Man. Triple Tree would be ideal, but I doubt their neighbors would appreciate all the low passes! I know of a decent grass strip near Lake Marion, and there's another near Orangeburg. There's also a strip near BQ1.

The recent thread on flight following got me to wondering. Since I am one of "those guys" (no xponder), how would I appear to ATC? Just a return on primary radar? Not there at all?
