My last engineering class was decades ago, so maybe it's a New Math thing, but I have no idea what "> 50% lower" means. Instinctively I interpret it the same way you do, but the phrasing is so imprecise as to appear deliberately misleading, or careless. But still a cool plane and I'm with you...

Not to hijack the thread, but how long does it take to get proficient enough with the simulator software? I'm interested in using pilotedge during IFR training, but I'm worried I'll just be crashing my simulated Cherokee at the departure end before I get to the useful part.

For me, it was more a matter of justifying well more than 10% of the expected total cost of the certificate on a headset when cheaper adequate ones were available. And when it came time to get a headset (my son wanted to get me one for my birthday), I chose a QT Halo and now I can't imagine...

And when you remember to hold your neck still you forget that your shins are about to smash into the bottom of the seat in front of you! Got on and off a carrier a few times in one, but had one less landing than takeoff (parachute ops). Good stuff.
