He asked me if I wanted to see a demonstration of 1 and I said sure. He seemed like a kid in a candy store being in that plane, he must really love flying. His day job is as a pilot for corporate chartered flights so I guess he can't get enough of it.

    1st flight ever

Sorry guys! I LOVED IT!!! My CFI was awesome, very informative, thorough and laid back. We took the DA-20 up to about 4,000 feet and did some turns (he showed me a steep turn but I didn't attempt it, I was still getting used to the rudder and aileron at the same time thing). He asked if I wanted...

So, there's a chance instead of a DA-20 I'll be in a Cessna 172. I really want the Diamond but it is what it is. Total beginner question, which I know will be answered Sunday morning by the CFI but when you go to take off do you pull back on the yoke to get in the air and then stop pulling...

Thanks for all the replies! I live about 30 min NE of Atlanta and we will be taking off around 3:30pm. The entire lesson is an hour but they said to allot 20-30 min for pre-flight check, etc....and so we'll be up there for around 30-40 minutes. The DA-20 looks like a great plane, only heard good...

    1st flight ever

Hi, My wife has scheduled a 30 minute discovery flight for me for Father's Day, I can't wait. I am a little nervous, I guess it's normal, and super excited. I guess I was just wondering what to expect and how much control they usually give you of the aircraft (I know all schools are...
