Wasn't bad at all. Arrived around 0900 with about 10 airplanes inbound. Everyone sequenced themselves in and kept transmissions short, brief, and to the point. CGZ is easy with major roads and landmarks on traffic pattern entry points. I'd say there's no reason not to fly in!

And forego the "any traffic in the area please advise" calls.

Also most flight school/rental RGs have gear issues and eventually gear up. If you're going the professional pilot route make sure you consider the effects of an accident/incident on your record and whether or not that's worth 10-20kts.

Accidents like this hopefully help reinforce a need to be outside the airplane when operating in congested areas. If anything, flying with a CFI and doing ground reference maneuvers could be a way to get your head back outside.
