    Savings of Owner assisted maintenance

I've saved a ton by doing my own work. And learn the plane. Changed out my exhaust and intake runner sleeves on two separate occasions ... that was maybe ten or fifteen man hours hours work (each) ... our A&P answered any questions, gave me torque values and the wrench, looked it over, signed...

Anyone have an employee agreement for flying yourself?

Everything I've read points to if the company takes the stance it's a no go and they don't like it, it's impossible. Corporate goes by the mantra "if we let one do it, we must let all do it." So if you're getting pushed back on, they've made their decision. Glad to see some people are...

    Best fast food burger?

Wish we had more than just Whataburger, McD's, and JIB. The best burgers in this town 11R are actually at the airport and a little family place called Dairy Bar.

Avidyne IFD 440 free offer maybe the solution?

Dang, you're right. Didn't catch that. Oh well, I wanted to wait a little longer anyway. By 2020 there's no telling what will be available.

Avidyne IFD 440 free offer maybe the solution?

For us existing 430W flyers maybe this is the way to go. Avidyne is offering a free ADS-B out solution valued at $2499 with purchase of the IFD 440. As you all probably know, it's a slide in replacement for the GNS430. No rack to change out which has to save several hundred bucks maybe more on...
