Yesterday, Flight Aware reported my aircraft was "spotted" in Tennessee while hangered in Virginia. I've complained to Flight Aware in the past when this happened but gotten no answer. Is this happening because of something on their end? Pilot error?

Do you guys with a lot of time in IMC find that flying behind say a G1000 with a large display helps prevent SD and/or recovery from it? I'm instrument rated but rarely fly in IMC. I've been considering upgrading to a G3X Touch from my steam gauges.

I have the GNS530W/GDL-88 combo. Frankly, the NEXRAD weather on the GNS530W is not anywhere near as good as what you see on an Ipad with FF or Garmin Pilot. Therefore, I would suggest not limiting yourself to solutions that put the weather on the GNS530W. However, if that is what you want...

I have a Zulu 2 and 3. Prefer the 2 because I find the Kelvar cord on the 3 easily gets kinks.

I had a similar situation recently while VFR. Even though I saw the other aircraft (after being alerted by ADSB), I wasn't sure that we would pass each other (we were roughly 90 degrees to each other). Therefore, decided to decent a couple hundred feet. Definitely raised my comfort level.

Re seat comfort, I (and many other DA40 pilots) use Oregon Aero cushions, which greatly help the issue with minimal headroom loss. In addition, 2008 and up DA40's have a taller canopy (1-2" depending on who you talk to). It can be retrofitted but is $$$.
