    Icom Antenna Switchbox Schematic

Center pin on BNC is wired to the tip of 1/8" plug. Outer ring/sheild of BNC is wired to the non-tip portion of the 1/8" plug. It's probably a mono 1/8" plug, as there's only a conductor and a sheild with BNC connectors.

KSDC, located along the Lake Ontario Shoreline 20 Miles east of Rochester, NY welcomes anyone who wants to reposition their plane due to the oncoming Hurricane Earl. Based on forecasts, KSDC will remain free of the storm. We have room for about 50 aircraft, but ask that folks bring their...

    Free flights to Military personnel.

Our Ride Board is still there...we just haven't promoted it. http://www.pilotjunk.com/Forums/ Stars and Stripes has said they are going to write an article about it, but they haven't done that yet. We're not really sure how to promote it, even though it's a good idea at the core.

Connecting GA Pilots with Returning Servicemen and Women

Thanks...so far, it's one or two soldiers forwarding the link back to their mates in Iraq or Afghanistan. I am thinking of doing a press release. But before we have returning veterans come to the site, there should probably be some pilots already registered. So today, I posted it here, on...

Connecting GA Pilots with Returning Servicemen and Women

Thanks...I missed that... Also, folks may notice that there's a delay set on the registration page. When you fill out registration info, the "Submit" button will activate after 2 minutes. It's a security setting to keep automated systems from registering.

Connecting GA Pilots with Returning Servicemen and Women

Hello, all! I was participating in a forum on the red board the other day and an idea was borne of the discussion: matching servicemen and women who are coming home with pilots who can get them that last 100 or 200 miles by donating their time and aircraft. So we put up a ride board (and...

    Stupid on the Radio

The head-slapper is the one where you bungle through, "uhhhhh...podunk traffic....uh...skyhawk.. niner three....uh......five miles....uh....east....west ......" And you stop your transmission. You take a deep breath and come back with, in your most seasoned pilotspeak, "Podunk traffic skyhawk...

Regulations concerning Pilot performed preventative maintenance

Piper Cherokee Service Manual section 2-70 Lubrication proceeds to describe, in detail, the proper way to get access to the sump, drain the sump, change the oil filter, (or clean the screen) replace the oil filter (or screen) and then fill the sump with new (proper grade) oil. It's three...

Regulations concerning Pilot performed preventative maintenance

I hasten to add that even PM work requires that the pilot doing it have the Service Manual for that aircraft, and a copy of AC 43-13B on hand and available in case the FAA guy happens to drop by the hangar. Having them open to the appropriate pages is a good thing, too. Saves the FAA guy from...

Annual + First Flight = look under the cowling

Didn't they lose a wrench in the space shuttle once, grounding it until they found it? I thought I lost a pair of safety wire pliers once...after changing my oil filter, I couldn't account for the pliers. So I assumed they were somewhere between the departure end of the runway and the approach...

    Making his home state proud

HAH! Maybe his on Nosepicking Performance Enhancers.... I think, though, based on my driving a bezillion miles a year, that the number one thing men do when stopped at traffic lights is exactly what Selig is doing. Anyone concur?

    $2 a gallon Gas (or lower)soon

Gas prices go down after every single Labor Day simply because demand is lower. How does that affect prices? Economics 101 explains supply and demand and free market competition and how it affects prices. Since elections happen after Labor Day, it's common to assume the price drops are due...

    Golf Tourn help

It's not very expensive to give away a car. I'm working on a tournament now, and the Ford Hybrid we're planning on giving away should anyone get a hole-in-one on a par 3 is only about $585 for the insurance policy. This tee is where the beer girls go, of course.
