But Jay, if you are just riding around and want to go to say an airport you don't really have a starting point so how do you enter a route. Seems like a lot of key strokes. I have a 496 in the dash and just press direct and enter the airport code and its done.

Garmin sent an email in response to my telling them about it and they have suggested that it is a GPS signal issue. I have never seen the GPS indicator on the nexus go out at the time I was having the problem but it may not be that reliable. I ordered a DUAL today to see if that fixes it.

The speed is 40kts but it is not changeable it is fixed.
