In late September, my little RV8A finally received her airworthiness certificate after a long 12 years of building. Great feeling to finally get her in the air. Unfortunately, only 1.5 hrs flight time with our wet fall weather and work commitments.

Deb and I had the opportunity to make the 230 nm day trip to Luray, Virginia and visit the Luray Caverns. Really a great general aviation destination with an airport shuttle to the caverns and reasonable gas prices. Centuries old caverns of amazing natural beauty. Definately one to consider...

Great skies over Ohio this weekend, and Grimes Field (I74) is Hosting the MERFI (mid east regional fly in). Started in 1965 this is a great regional fly in with pilots from all around the country. Stop in, stay a while and enjoy the show.

Today a friend took my father for a his first glider flight. 3,000 foot tow then a bit of lift between layers for 35 minute flight. Bernie came down 40 years younger. Bernie (90) was 5 X the pilots age. Great day!
