Got first doze of Pfizer today

Did two shots of Moderna in March, no problems with either one. Actually went smoothly both times, even in the goofiest state in the country. Had a friend semd me a video assuring me mass deaths are on the way for all shot takers, so that was pretty swell.

    Melatonin

Melatonin is an amusing hormone, able to generate some remarkable big spiders and possibly other illusions after a couple weeks........your mileage may vary but it was pretty freaky for me.......was using as a sleep aid but gave it up pronto.....not flying at the time and lapsed class 3.......

Those of you on Basic Med, was your Doc OK with it?

No problem at all here. The usual stuff wrong......type 2 and age 73, she filled it out with no trouble.

    Motorcycle Rant

Well I think you just added 10mph to my standard deviation...........can agree with some of your stuff........going below speed limit in SoCal is a real death wish......we go above the speed limit for a good reason, we want to see the road in front of us to avoid...

    Neuro CogScreen Partial Fail...

I have actual experience of an accidental spin with no prior training......the year was 1969 and I had about 12 hours in 150's. ($12 hour wet for a new plane). Was out over south Palm Canyon PSP.....it was hot so I took a anti seasick pill which of course I had no clue made you sleepy. I was...

Medical requirement for glider add-on to SEL

Lapsed class 3 over 10 years so no basic med....just talked to glider CFI and he is under the impression that a glider rating would add on to my power license and some sort of medical blessing would be required before a glider rating. What says the collective........

    Worst/best drivers by state

Memphis has the most entertaining gray haired grannies who dwell in the mansions of the 240 race track. The grannies can be seen coming to a complete stop on every on ramp.....looking both ways and then creeping into traffic.......LOL.......worked a temp back there and every day on the way to...

Do you have a real ID?

Got mine last month since I had to get my license renewed anyway. No big deal in Ca....passport and a Spektrum bill to prove address.....they held up a photo of Mao Tse Tung and I didn't salute so passed with flying colors......

With Basic Med in the realm...

Put me in the not worth it camp as well. 3rd class lapsed for years and not willing to endure the fleecing and uncertainty of the med community. I'm retired and 72 and I know only a handful of guys with an intact medical. I look back to the hoops I went through when I was in great shape except...

Ever smell pot in the air while flying?

Takes me back to the PSA midnight freaky flyer from SFO-LAX back in the 70's.......little orange glows all over......a cheap second hand buzz....lol

    Cessna 172XP

Have some time in the XP and its the usual piece o cake to fly. CS is no big deal......but the downside of this bird is you don't get any hi-performance out of it with 195hp. You'll like the Cessna......

    RIP Roy Clark

At the age of 23, Clark obtained his pilot's license and then bought a 1953 Piper Tri-Pacer (N1132C), which he flew for many years. This plane was raffled off on December 17, 2012, to benefit the charity Wings of Hope.[6] He has owned other planes, including a Mitsubishi MU-2, Stearman PT-17[7]...
