    Airport Identifiers

As another bent, it's like referring to your telephone number when talking to locals -- it's common to omit your area code

Hm, WFSB -- Is this the station in Hartford that used to be known as WTIC?

    What does this signal mean?

One of these days, states are going to smarten up and ban the possession of cell phones and internal rear view mirrors :)

    CompuServe - so long

Yes, one of the first to go -- but they still exist and thrive as an independent site. Now online as "aero-farm.com" Another thing to try to get me NOT to quit -- they offered service continuation for only $4.49/month if I interfaced using broadband!

I second that. But the world will be a better place once his twin, the sugar boozer, joins him

72050,1572 -- and continued getting junk mail all the way up to the point of convincing the Pakistani that, "Yes, I DO want to cancel my account and NOT add additional features!" <== one of the reasons to quit -- outsourced Customer "Service" Had the same prob with Earthlink

Cost of flying down 17% in one year -- so where is everyone?

especially when flying is defined as boring holes in the sky to go around the pattern, instead of getting Productive use out of the vehicle (and, no, practice is not productive)

SAC is dead, but old pictures pop up!

    Citibank

??? If you're gambling next month's rent money, what are you doing spending money on flying? You're over your head. That said, any investment that isn't a serious risk is a waste of energy -- there is no gain without risk. You would have better liquidity and access with the same gain by...

121 question: how is "rest" defined?

Well, it's a couple of wars old, but for my DoD time, it was (legal) duty to duty (if you choose to stay at work past being dismissed, or come in early, that time didn't count)

    Amtrak train schedule layover question

You should be so lucky. Amtrak's record of being on time is orders of magnitude worse than the worst of our airline's worst times. A 4 hour layover might put you at the station just barely in time to catch the connection -- BUT you'll prolly have to sleep over until the next day and hope to...

Aiport projects included in the "stimulus package"

I don't know that the So. GA apron is worthy either. The only thing in BAD condition (other than Eclipse) is the Observation P.Lot at the approach to RWY 8. Use the $$ on the roads. Heck, even Paseo del Volcan from I-40 to AEG is alot worse than anything at ABQ (except the Obs. P.Lot)

I have Mad Cow (AKA I can't donate blood :()

As far as reception, you CAN donate to yourself on notification that you're about to undergo surgery (Then you can claim to be a donor). Here, I've been denied donations to the general population because of treatment for cancer. Being 11 years post-op, I'm finally in a position where I can...
