Thank you very much! I will try those simulators and watch videos. Idea of replacing two 430s was suggested by my friend just a few days ago. I now gotta lots of homework to do…:eek2:

I am thinking about upgrading my panel with Dynon HDX. And, I am going to replace 430s. Should I match the Dynon panel with Garmin or Avidyne IFR navigator? I’ve heard that Avidyne is more intuitive to an airline guy like myself.

U turn outside VZ then go direct from Alpine to N07 under the bravo. Just scan for TEB traffic on the final when landing south as you proceed to N07. Cocktails and food on the field after the flight (usually a music band on weekends). Enjoy!

My two worsts were at KSFO 19L after the Pacific crossing years ago. Flying the “swinging arc” over the runway to de-crab in a 747 was quite interesting indeed. I kept a cool face in front of the crew as I cleared the runway (I wonder if they noticed my shaking knees).

I share your frustration too. I am based in Northern Jersey, and I have said the same thing to my wife for last few years. It is getting worse every year. I never considered flying my plane in a sub freezing temperature day like yesterday, but I just couldn’t waste a clear day…
