ForeFlight on Iphone Or Ipad Mini

I've looked at foreflight on my iphone on a commercial flight and it showed 32000 feet and airspeed. I've done it several times flying commercial and it's always worked. I usually use my iphone while flying local and ipad for longer flights

Anyone used Baker School of Aeronautics

That's what I thought. Some of my experience is turbine from the USAF but 25 years ago. Just wanted to knock it out as quickly as possible. I could likely pass on my own by studying but who knows how long before I'd feel comfortable with my studies to go test. Thanks.

Anyone used Baker School of Aeronautics

Anyone here used them for your A&P certificate. I've recently made my experience requirements and was thinking of going here. If you have been what was your experience.

Is there a Dr. Chien for Aviation Insurance?

I have my 172 insured thru AOPA and I'm a low time pilot. I just renewed my policy and it was $710.

    First night flight!

I also felt the night flying was more comfortable. Smoother and seems like I can see better. I said I would fly more at night but having my PPL for over a year now I haven't flown any at night. Really need to get night current again.

    Long Cross Country Flight Planning

I see that now. When I posted I was looking at ff on my iphkne and it does not show that outer ring. I then pulled my sectional and I see that now. Thanks for clearing that up.

    Long Cross Country Flight Planning

Depends on where you are in the outer ring. There are a few areas that 5500 would put you under.

Person interested in buying jnto our plane

The same. If I agree on half or thirds and I choose to fly very few hours that's my problem. I had the opportunity to fly just as many hours. There are prob not many like us when it comes to our plane. I like the arrangement and so does the other owner. Does that make it right or wrong, I...

Person interested in buying jnto our plane

Sort of my thoughts. He came to me. We don't need a third until we upgrade. Hate to run off out potential upgrade partner and I also don't want to spoil what we have now with another opinion.

Person interested in buying jnto our plane

So you guys that are for the hourly rate I have a question. If the plane is available to both parties why would one be more responsible for maint costs? Not trying to start a war just curious. If I chose to fly 5 hours and I could have flown as many as the other guy should I kick in more money...

Person interested in buying jnto our plane

To further complicate things. The current owner and I are 50/50. We bought the plane a year ago with 1000 hrs TSMO. We both knew going in the hours in the engine. We have split all costs 50/50 for everything regardless of fly time. I know the arguments here. If I fly it for 200 hrs and he flies...

1975 model 172. How do you determine a price. This person would be third owner.

    A&P license experience requirements

Yes that is correct. I'm gonna talk with them about it and hopefully they will let me count the time with my own plane and test for all three. If not I will have to work at the airport till next march to have the 30 combined.

Jet engine mechanic. Tf34, f100 and f110. Don't have my dd214 in front of me but I think 45450 is the AFSC.

They also seem overly helpful for x military also. I served our country and I hate for my time to go to waste. I should have done something sooner. When your young and away from home for the first time your future is not high on the list of priorities at 18. Fast forward 25 years and you think...

    A&P license experience requirements

The FSDO made it clear that it didn't have to be continuous full time work. I specifically asked. He may or may not let me count that time and if not I will still meet the requirements to test for the P portion. Let you guys know how it pans out. Another guy at a fly in told me to go...

    A&P license experience requirements

I would do the power plant now and then when you have 30 months over all see if you can get the air-frame sign off. This is what my IA says to do. I'm just trying to get it knocked out sooner. I will try with my own airplane PM over the last year and the time I have worked at the airport...

    A&P license experience requirements

Sort of what I thought. He wanted to sign my paper and I could tell he did. I think I will put down my work on my own plane and them combine that with my military time. All he can do is say no.

    A&P license experience requirements

Sort of a long story. I have military time with a AFSC that is counted toward eligibility. I had 14 months at the time I tried to get my 8610-2 signed. They would not let me count technical school training. That time included I had 18 months. That is what would have been needed to test for...
