    Electric Trim on Arrow II

This is a necro post. I did that pre-buy years ago and it turned up a bunch of other problems. I didn't end up buying the plane, but it had nothing to do with the trim.

    live in hangar?

It isn't allowed at my airport, but we had one of the jump pilots do it for a while... Rumor has it he thwarted a burglary one night.

Question, RV camping and dish network

As Tom said, just stream. You can get a Fire Stick from Amazon for about $34 (it was $20 for black friday). Most phones will do hot spot or there may be Wifi available. If you have a Fire Stick, Roku or Apple TV at home, just take it with you. They aren't hard to attach to a Wifi hot spot or...

    Mooney gone?

Back when the Chinese bought Mooney, there was announcement that they were going to start making trainers, with their eye on the Chinese market. They certainly wouldn't make those in Texas and ship them to China. Is it possible they are gearing up to make these in China...

    Sam's Club Blue Jeans

I used to run in New Balance back in the 70’s, but now days I need a control shoe, so it is Brooks Beasts. The Levi 505s are pretty much the same as 501s, but with a zipper instead of button fly. The fit works for me. I am working my way back to a 32 waist. I let myself slip up to 34, but am...

    Sam's Club Blue Jeans

I just checked and Costco online has 505s for $14.97 with free shipping. Not bad (since they are a known fit for me). Edit: very limited on sizes available

    Sam's Club Blue Jeans

I always used to get Levi's 501s, but switched to 505s a couple of years ago (zipper instead of buttons). I do have a pair I picked up at Walmart, when I was traveling and forgot them, that seem to fit pretty well. I think they are Wrangler's. I have bought dress slacks at Costco successfully...

    [NA]120,000 mi engine oil?[NA]

I have a 2019 Toyota Tacoma and Toyota says 10K with synthetic oil (required). They give you the first two years of changes included with the purchase (but you still have to have them done).

    A&P student tool deals?

Maybe step up on a few tools that will see a lot of use, like a ratcheting screw driver and the ratchet drivers. JH Williams is the industrial brand for Snap On (but a lot cheaper). I bought this one and love it...

    Paper or wire mesh?

I have a Saeco super automatic at home, but I have used the french press backpacking and it does a decent job. Drip with a paper filter is easier to clean up (except you have to pack it out, backpacking) and the taste is pretty comparable, as long as you use good beans and good water.

    Grounded indefinitely

Sorry to hear this. It sounds like you have good insurance, which is great. Hopefully it turns around for you.

    Password Managers

I use 1Password. Like Ryan, I have two vaults, one for work stuff and one for fiance and I (she used to keep them in a book). It seems to work well.

    Port of Bellingham new policy.

When I first bought my airplane, I tried to get more than $1m and the insurance company (AOPA), said $1m was the max, since I was a new pilot and no IR. I didn't shop it, but it might not be available to everyone.

    [NA]Modifying a new laptop[NA]

Semantics I suppose. The machine cannot join a domain. You can certainly log in to one. There are many advantages to joining a machine to a domain.

    [NA]Modifying a new laptop[NA]

On Win 10, Home cannot join a domain (server), while Pro can. There is an easy upgrade path if you end up with Home, though.

    Nice Paint buy it.

It is strange. When pricing a plane, paint valuation is pretty subjective. I have seen sellers with pretty ratty paint call it a 6 or 7. I would think 6 or 7 should be above average (not bad at all). They don’t want to discount their plane for paint, but paint and interior can easily set you...

    Nice Paint buy it.

Doing paint and interior isn't cheap on an older plane. It costs almost as much as an engine (maybe half or a little more, I guess). All things being equal (mechanically), I would choose the better paint and even pay up for it a bit. Passengers don't have confidence in run down looking airplanes.

    Hallo All! Roadtrip Oregon/Idaho/Nevada

Most GA airports have flight schools that will do it (similar to a discovery flight). I used to travel a lot for work and did that quite a bit. Just call around when you get to an area you like. Before anyone says I was wasting their time, I was always up front about it. I told them I was a...
