Piper Warrior budget Waas Gps advice

I have seen installations with such a switch. One CAP 182 I fly has 2x King nav/coms and a Garmin 400 (GPS only , no VHF nav or com). And there is a switch for the CDI input.

Back up GPS or 2nd Nav?

Good setup. Interestingly, the GNC-355 is the same size as a King 155, and uses the same mounting holes. Coincidence??? :D

    One cylinder coming in low...

So, running LOP with lower temps than ROP is bad? You contradict yourself. Running TOO lean is not a problem. Running NOT LEAN ENOUGH is.

Back up GPS or 2nd Nav?

Looking at some other panels in one of the threads on MS, I think the solution would be a long body. The panel is taller so more room. :D

    Resume Own Nav...

Unless the clearance to proceed direct is to a fix not on your route. What are you supposed to do when you reach that fix? Stop? You do not have a clearance for where you are. If it is to a fix on your route, once you get there, it is pretty obvious you keep going as if you reached that...

    Resume Own Nav...

That happens all the time. They clear me to something on the flight plan so the new route cuts a corner and saves some time. But since that is to a fix on my route, I can continue the rest of route after I rejoin

    I Hate Enterprise

I mainly rent with Hertz due to high status from some airlines. I have not had any issues. Well, sort of. My last trip to Hawaii, I had a choice of a Camaro SS or a Camaro SS or a Camaro SS. Not that I don't like hot cars, it has a tiny trunk lid so suitcase on the back seat. And not great...

    Beech V35 Midair Breakup

Most were overstressed. Many times by flying into thunderstorms. More of a indictment of the type of people flying them, not the actual aircraft. That's why they were called Fork Tailed Doctor Killers.

    One cylinder coming in low...

Not just Savvy, but also GAMI. They have only been doing this with many engines since the 90s. Based on how the airlines ran the big radials back in the day to over 3000 hours between overhauls.

Or JPI 900. If you put in an engine monitor, put in one that is Primary and you can get rid of all the legacy engine gauges.

    My tailwheel training impressions..

I find Citabria/Decathons a pain to wheel land. Especially with someone in the back seat. The spring steel, emphasis on SPRING makes it want to leap back in the air without the benefit of airspeed. My CAP-10 with oleos doesn't care what the attitude it, it just lands. :D

    Flying with retired pilots

I heard the same thing. And think it is bunk for many people. I took off about 6 years the first time. 1 hour and I had a BFR signed off. A couple of hours on my own, and a couple hours with a CFII and I had an IPC signed off. Second time, I took off about 20 years. 1.3. for the FR, and a...
