    Breeze Airlines?

Be surprised if they make it to 2025 honestly, with the way they're bleeding cash.

    Plane crash on FL freeway

Just the simple act of the engines windmilling probably gave them some pressure in system 1 & 2.

Airlines Blame GA for Holiday Flight Delays

It's absolutely a ZJX staffing issue. They're not staffed on a good day, so throw in some weather and forget it.

    An aviation/tractor related rant

Bobcat tractors are built by Daedong, who also builds Kioti. Bobcat claims they're going to pivot to building them in-house, but with their history of the compact tractor market, I wouldn't count on it.

    Tractor Woes

Which gas engine in the MF165? I had a TO-30 with the Continental and finally gave up on it. They're not bad, but it just wasn't worth the time for me to fix the darn thing. It needed a head gasket, which I did, but then it turned into probably needing a total rebuild. I'm not sure I'd rebuild a...

    Ford F150 with a 3.5 L turbo and the 3.31 rear.

That’s not bad then. Probably best case scenario for a 3.31 F150. Ford loves to advertise what their trucks are theoretically capable of pulling (and don’t get me started on that, it’s dumb to be pulling 10K+ on a half ton truck), but they never mention you have to have the payload numbers for...

FAA launches investigation after two planes nearly collide at JFK airport

I'm sure their lawyers (from the union) are running the show. They're not opposed to sitting down with the NTSB. They're against it being digitally recorded.

    Ford F150 with a 3.5 L turbo and the 3.31 rear.

yeah, a lot of that is option dependent. You start looking at a loaded crew cab short bed, and they run out of payload fast with the 3.31

    Ford F150 with a 3.5 L turbo and the 3.31 rear.

I’ll buy that, but I don’t think max tow was available with a 3.31 rear end. Some of the 3.31 rear end F150s I looked at had hilariously low payloads. To the point of once you people a couple people and a few things in the back, pulling a trailer would be come an issue in terms of tongue weight...

    Ford F150 with a 3.5 L turbo and the 3.31 rear.

What’s the payload on your truck? Sure it might pull that kind of stuff fine, but are you legal doing it

    Ford F150 with a 3.5 L turbo and the 3.31 rear.

You got that right. That's why my truck has the 7.3L in it. Thing is a beast, and actually isn't half bad on MPG with a 10 speed behind it.

    Ford F150 with a 3.5 L turbo and the 3.31 rear.

For what it's worth, the last time I looked at the 3.31 equipped F150s, the biggest issue I saw was the rated payload number (or lack thereof). If it was a crew cab, and you put 4 people in the thing, you basically had zero weight left for tongue weight on a trailer. Sure, the Ford towing guide...

NTSB Comments on Ethiopian 737 MAX investigation

How much stock do you own in Airbus? How much 121 time do you have? You had the problem and how it could have been correctly clearly spelled out to you by a 737 pilot, but continue to fight this. Clearly you have an axe to grind.

    Can Airlines Cancel IFR

While it might have been "legal" (I contend it isn't), I sure wouldn't attempt it. Who provided the crew with VFR charts, what was the contingency plan if NY approach says "remain clear of the bravo". Too many things to go wrong. Set the brake, get a new strip filed by dispatch and make some...

Had a visitor at the airport the last few days

So there's actually 2 of them. An East Coast and a West Coast one. The East coast one is smaller, Pilot + 4 more seats, West Coast is pilot + 8 more seats.

    Piper Navajo Chieftain

I've got a couple hundred hours in them. They drink fuel, I don't remember the exact burns but it was a lot. Ours were beat to hell freighters, but they flew fine. If you could get it in the door, they'd haul it. Even at high density altitudes, it was never an issue. They were built to haul...

Pilot's riding in the flight deck are not on company business (well, they better not be, as it's frowned upon).
