Vans Files For Chapter 11 Bankruptcy

How true. If you can’t sell a product at a price to make a profit after all costs, you won’t be in business long. Unless like a saying goes “Losing money on every one but making it up on volume”

Masters of the Air--coming to Apple TV

That CGI in the trailer is atrocious. Enough for me to pass. Give me Battle of Britain with real aircraft even if they weren’t Bf109’s.

True. FIrst lesson learned at The Biz School (as well as previous personal experience:sigh:) was "Sunk Costs are irrelevant in any business decision".

NA why do people bag leaves and throw them away?

When I lived in my previous house, that was the process. Now in a condo community, no clue where they go but have suffered thru the first fall of leaf blowing by the association lawn company. Again no clue where they were blown to and zero desire to know;)

Vans Files For Chapter 11 Bankruptcy

I’m familiar with all those types inspections and have used them myself countless times in numerous aircraft production and maintenance programs. I was just curious how deep/long these “microcracks” were to get feel if they were truly worth worrying about. For example, every disc in a USAF...

Four Buildings and on Tall Cylinder to hold ICBM's etc. Official name is National Museum of the USAF. GDK (Formerly I19) is your best bet. The FBO has nice crew cars. I volunteer there a few days a month. There are free guided tours of the buildings daily but not each one every day. The...

Weird placement of car parts. Why?

When I was the USAF Chief Engineer for the Advanced Tactical Fighter Program (YF-22 and YF-23), we took the Design Teams on a "Blue Two" (Two Stripe UAF Mechanic) trip to the European USAF Bases. We had them change Engines, Avionics etc on F-4's, F-16's and F-15's, a few times in Chem Bio Gear...

    Horizon Jumpseater goes crazy

Good choice. One thing I always observed in my 50+ years in the Aircraft Design, Operation and Maintenance Business, was “Just because something can be done, doesn’t mean it should be done” be it AI in the cockpit or jumping off a bridge with an umbrella for a parachute. Cheers
